Ubitex is simple. Enter your location, then either place or complete orders near you. Done.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I put in an order.  How do I know that the system properly understands my location and will match me to someone within the specified radius?  It would be nice to see listings on a map.  I had to set a radius of 3000 miles before it found any matches, but then it didn't say how far away the one listing was.  It would be nice to see the distances so that you could pick and choose between the offers.

Yes, we geolocate IP addresses. However, you can change this just by changing the text in the box... you can use any syntax Google Maps will like

If you specify an ambiguous location, you'll get a 500 error (for now).

Charging a .5 btc listing fee will hinder reaching critical mass.  It would make more sense to grow it as a free service and then charge a fee when it is popular.

I clicked "Sellers near me" and nothing happens. How does someone use this website?

The site implies otherwise:

Quote from: ubitex.org
I agree to pay the 0.5 BTC listing fee.
I understand that my listing will not be public until the bitcoin transaction is confirmed.
I agree to legitimately follow through with this order.

If listing is currently free it should be noted on the site.

A few things to note, lookup ways to identify a counterfeit bill online:
http://www.wikihow.com/Detect-Counterfeit-US-Money

In short:
Buy a Neodymium magnet to test the ink and a counterfeit bill marker to test the paper. Check the text and serial number.

Just register. If you have an account with nearly anything, you can log in with that, then all Ubitex wants is a username and email address.

But anonymous access is planned for the future.
