They just came out with an S1 upgrade, so I don't think a S4 will come out soon. You must have overlooked that an update on the S4 test results was announced by @BITMAIN already due last Tuesday. With the SP20 now around the corner, Bitmaintech does not have much time left to come up with something that is at least on par with the specs (means whatever they can tickle out of the 28nm tech to optimize hashing power vs. energy consumption).

The S3s are still selling like hotcakes. They'd only cannibalize sales of the S3 if they introduced the S4 now. They know what they are doing. They're maximizing profits. And no, Spondoolies is not "chewing" them. They're probably still outselling them 10-1.

100TH/s? You might want to rethink that one... not a chance in hell of that happening.

I ordered yesterday 2 s3+ s costing 1.16 BTC. If the price of S4 which is 2TH/s is 1.16 or lower it's ........beeeep. I think bitmain will make S4 ships single not like S3 shipping double. And I guess the price of S4 will be 1.38 btc Anyway I may also order s4 depending on the price.

I guess since they fitted 10 cards inside a S2 they will now take the 10 cards in the S4 making it a monster of 4.5Th/s clear speculation off-course!!!
If the S4 follows the pattern of the S2, it certainly won't be 4.5TH/s. Remember, the S2 underclocked/undervolted the BM1380 chips from the S1 to make that 1TH/s at 1100W - typical ratio of the chip was 2W/GH/s. If they hadn't, the S2 would have been a 1.8TH/s miner consuming 3600W. The speculation is that the S4 will indeed follow the same paradigm established by the S2. My thoughts on the specs are earlier in this thread, but to reiterate them here, I believe it will be around 2.2TH/s at about 1300W. If Bitmain wants to use the same PSU as the S2, then it'll probably be closer to 2TH/s at 1100W.Quoting myself ... looks like I was spot on.

Batch 8 of the S3 and the S1 upgrade kit do not even resume shipping until September 20th. so I would not expect to see another device from them anytime soon.
Quoting myself too...for being 180 out like a distributor in an old chevy!

I hope the price is lower we were going to buy a mass load of s3's but if its lower then spoonies hardware then we may be talking about something interesting and i wouldn't mind it being without a psu I can rig the psu myself if it means cheaper prices.
