Hello, I got a recent problem with my bitcoin wallet. I had my bitcoin installed but recently I reinstalled windows and now I reinstalled bitcoin. When I open my bitcoin wallet it says out of syinc 2 years and 16 weeks. Someone please help me .

Why don't you download a light bitcoin wallet like Electrum that doesn't download the blockchain or maybe you could use a blockchain.info online wallet? If you want to keep your current client you could just download the torrent of the blockchain to speed things up: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=145386.0

Do you have a backup of the wallet.dat file from before you reinstalled Windows?

It sounds like you deleted the Bitcoin data directory when you reinstalled Windows.  If you don't have a backup from before the reinstall, then any bitcoins you had are permanently lost.

Ya if you don't have a backup of your wallet.dat or you public/private keys you might be S.O.L. 

It will take a couple days for the full bitcoin wallet to sync.  The blockchain is getting BIG!

If you have private key you can import to a lightweight wallet.  But the chain is getting quite big.  Even with a fast connection it can be time consuming to start from scratch on it.

Well I've read all replys. I don't have a backup wallte because I didn't had any bitcoin so it was no point in doing a backup. So I will have to wait 2years and I'm done

Why not consider downloading another client instead of waiting for the blockchain to download? If you don't use it for a while you'll have to wait even more time for the new transactions to synch and to get your coins (if you get sent any).

That message "out of syinc 2 years and 16 weeks" simply means there are still 2 years' block data to be download, not that you have to wait for 2 years lol.

As others mentioned, you may use a thin client like Electrum or Multibit, and you won't need to download the whole block data.

What you need to do is to do a backup of your entire Bitcoin folder (located by putting %appdata% in the search thing in the windows icon)
so you dont have to constantly download the whole blockchain everytime you format or reinstall windows.

Or just get Electrum.

The whole blockchain is now at around 24GB, and so it will take some time for the initial sync to complete.
You could use the bootstrap.dat torrent (https://bitcoin.org/en/download) to download the blocks at a faster rate.
