I like the game a lot and have been dumping quite a bit to it. Something I didn't realize was that you don't have the firstbits for luckyg which I assumed you did with how those letters are bolded and bigger than the trailing letters and numbers. I sent 0.05 to 1luckyg which I'm pretty sure I'm never getting back. Can you please clarify that those aren't firstbits? thanks.

The bold part is just so that it is easy to read/distinguish, we do the same for players' addresses but with head&tail has both extremes are common way for people to quickly grasp addresses. For the game address only the first part is relevant to retain, thus the bold at the beginning.
But sadly for you, we don't have these firstbits (I wish too!), they have been used in the blockchain before...
I hope you didn't throw out a significant amount? You can try to send them a message on blockchain, the person might be honest.

EDIT2: Just realize now that you mention the amount and on green, well, only hope then is to kindly ask the address... Good luck!

As the "too large" suggest, the amount you've bet is above the current maximum for red. Have a look at the MIN/MAX on the right of the game area!
You can check the "How To" section of the Menu, it is explained there, too.

I got excited last night and almost wasted away my life savings, though now I've got most of it back. Of course my life savings is less than two BTC, but hey, I still would hate to lose it.

I was extra-scared for a while because I was betting too fast, and so somehow it wound up looking like I had lost far more than I really had, because the money I'd sent was gone from my wallet but the winnings hadn't yet been sent back.. I think I understand the concept of what happened though I'm not finding the words very well at the moment, but I guess it was the new bets couldn't be processed until the payouts from the previous bets had been confirmed.

I'm not sure I understand what you say, but we usually pay out instantly. As soon as the little "blockchain" cube appears next to your payout amount, it's done.
(Except for rare "high wins", we get a notification and we move additional funds by hand from cold wallet, for a matter of security).

Now, it's possible that you don't see it on your side before the payout confirm, depending on the wallet software that you use. But it's just that your wallet software does not show it to you (and it can be because the inputs are unconfirmed, maybe it's what you said). Even blockchain.info sometimes display "transaction not found" even though it knows the transaction, and then it displays it all of a sudden when it gets to a block.

Don't gamble your life savings, even if it's two bitcoins!! Have a look at the link at the very bottom of the page
