Owning bitcoin is no longer a path to great wealth. People who buy now may find a quick path to poverty.

Heard that in 2011.

You'll hear that every year, that's a normal reaction as no one knows exactly how things will develop.

We might think in early 2016 "why didn't I buy more when it was just $400 ?!" Just make sure you have them NOW  Smiley

Well...I doubt I'll become rich with Bitcoin but maybe I could make a living trading it. Grin

It depends how much money is 'rich' to you.

If you can buy 25 BTC & HODL for 10-15 years you might be able to get life changing money out of it.
Maybe enough to buy a house.

It could also mean $50 in spare change, we never know. Something better than bitcoin might come along and steal all the attention if it is revolutionary.

That's the beauty/horror of investments.

I voted both, from knowing what a shonky, jerry rigged lashup the default financial system is. Ergo it's a hedge against that, while hoping it may go a good way to replacing it.

So, long term, I hope to get moderately well off, if it makes me insanely rich, then there's gonna be a lot of ordinary people hurting, so not exactly wishing for that.

But otherwise, I can't see how one can not see how absolutely revolutionary and innovative it is, if you know the real story of money in the first place. I think if more people were educated about that, bitcoin would be a "no brainer".

I love the elegance and high utility of the protocol. I love the idea of disintermediating the banks.
I am aware that holding btc could enrich me but in an ideal world I wouldn't have to turn my btc into fiat at all as everything I want could be procured in btc itself
my thoughts exactly
