Yes, this pretty much explain it. But keep in mine that none of the cloud mining is profitable, if it is then they won't sell it to you.

I know there are a lot of articles and such out there that can help you with this and are specifically for beginners which may be of use to you, just be sure to fully read up and be confident yourself before jumping in.

It's a service you order. The company stores and runs the miners for you. You pay something like $1-2 per TH.

None of the cloud mining is profitable, its good to understand but don't jump into it.

The mining itself probably won't be profitable, however, how can make you some profit is if you sell your GH/s when you have earned enough to make the earned bitcoins + the bitcoins from the sale add up to more than you purchased it for.
