EDIT: 8/4/2012 PREVIOUS USER Tittiez (32gb) WILL BE LEAVING AT THE END OF THE MONTH, PM ME IF YOU'D LIKE TO TAKE ANY PROPORTION OF HIS SHARE

EDIT 8/5/2012

thallium205 just bought an 8gb

Therefore, beginning on 9/1 there is the following possible availability on a first-come first-served basis:

32GB Ram QTY 1
OR
16GB Ram QTY 2
OR
8GB Ram QTY 4

If you're interested in reserving a slot feel free to PM me.

I have a high-spec enterprise server (i.e. not some fly by night operation in someone's basement) that I am running Citrix Xenserver on. I'm currently underutilizing it and willing to offer up a massive portion of it to 1-3 people AT COST in bitcoin.

This is not part of a business venture I'm just looking for a few people to share the server with proportionally to cover expenses. You won't find any VPS company in the world offering this

What I'm offering:
Shared bandwidth
~1900GB bandwidth on 100mbit connection (there is a 2TB limit, I use about 100GB/mo)

32GB Ram | 800GB Disk | 3 IPs  = $165.09 or BTC equivalent
16GB Ram | 400GB Disk | 2 IPs  = $93 or BTC equivalent
8GB Ram | 200GB Disk  | 1 IP     = $51.80 or BTC equivalent

Preferably paid via bitcoin, but will accept CC if you are a trusted member.

-1 VPS with your resources or you can split it into however many VPSes you want (I can setup any vlans or host-only adapters you want).
-Bring your own ISO! Citrix supports almost any OS, including windows.

Server Specs:
•   DUAL Intel Xeon E5620 Quad Core 2.4GHz Processors (12MB L2 Cache, 80W)
•   48GB DDR3 1333 ECC Registered RAM (6 x 8GB)
•   Redundant 720W Power Supplies
•   Four (4) Western Digital RAID Edition 1TB SATA Hard Drives (32MB Cache, 7200RPM, 3.5" - Model # WD1002FBYS)
•   Hardware-based RAID 10 LSI 9260-8i with 512mb
•   Supermicro SuperServer 6026T-NTR+
•   X8DTN+  Motherboard

Datacenter info:

Located in Oak Tower datacenter in Kansas City.

Cogent (Directly connected taking a full table both native IPv4 and IPv6)
KCIX (Directly connected peering all routes into the peer server as well as HE peering IPv4 and IPv6)
Hurricane Electric (Directly connected taking a full table both native IPv4 and IPv6)

Multiple bandwidth providers that ride fiber into the datacenter to terminate into our equipment. Utilizing multiple edge and distribution switches we are able to maintain 99.9% or better network uptime. Recently upgraded the backbone of network to utilize redundant fiber paths to all switches and replaced older equipment to can provide IPv6 service.

For comparison, a 20GB VPS at linode would cost you $800/month

Any other company will have similar pricing.

I'm semi interested, how can I know your trustworthy? It seems a little too good to be true.
Can I see proof that you currently own the server your speaking of?

Proof? You mean a picture of me smiling next to the server with today's newspaper? C'mon..

If you want it I'll give you access before you pay. "Me first" as the fun-loving skeptics on bitcoin-otc like to say.

Haha that's good enough for me I guess.

Oh another question, how long should I expect my service to stay running? As in, how long will you be keeping your server and selling a part of it to me?

If this offer is still open by next Friday (paycheck) I'll be looking to buy it, cheers!

It'll stay up forever as long as I'm breaking even on it. And since it's just two of us I might kindly ask you to pitch in if a piece of hardware ever dies like an HD or something.

I'm only interested in splitting it up to 3 ways -- 32gb, 16gb, or 8gb.

Bumping. Currently have 8gb free -- will have 32 available after the month is over. Current user is Tittiez, he can vouch for the service.
