I think this guy is full of shit. He talks constantly about his free power but never says what it is. Solar farm and windmills? Take photos and post them for us, OP.
This guy is going to be the next jrose120 from Pompano Beach, Florida. For those of you who don't know, Jrose120 was over at the litecoin forums all last winter. He was a guy with good computer knowledge who got all caught up in buying GPUs during the time of their huge price surge. He even borrowed $50,000 from his cousin to buy more.
Then he put everything on a crapcoin called Solarcoin, and basically lost his ass. He stopped posting at the litecoin forums when he got poop on his face from his poorly timed investment.
I still laugh at him whan I think about it. If he had stayed mining he could've pulled a profit out if it, but he was a quitter.
I don't think that it's him but it would be nice to see that photo, we already see that he has miners so it isn't purely his imagination and i personaly trust him. Remember folks, free electricity doesn't have to be solar, wind, etc. It can also mean things like: "dorm room mining farm", "miner under my office desk at work", "my landlord doesn't separate my electricity bill from his in my efficiency", "the electric company doesn't realize my meter is broken".

What is your planned strategy to mine? Just stick with ghash or p2pool? Some of everything? If you're serious, then skip buying up more s1s and the upgrade kits - just pay the slight extra in cost to bump up to s3s out the gate. You're playing a game with diminishing returns so consider getting close to new hardware and simply cycling it out (reselling it on ebay or amamazon and buying the next new thing with your combined funds from mining and reselling) every 60 to 90 days like gaw or zoomhash does it. Also try running the calculations like this: Is there a power cap to how much electricity you can sell back? If not, what is the maximum expected return from selling the electricity direct? How much bitcoin could that electricity buy? Now, how much will ALL your proposed hardware make upon installation? Does that amount of bitcoin higher in value than the amount of bitcoin you would have purchased had you simply sold your power bought the btc with the earnings?

Upgraded from the purple 8 inch to the 14 inch Can Fan Max and the larger return grill inside the data closet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DxbWXo4dF4I held them up side by side for you to see the difference. The 14 inch has 1820 CFM and the 8 inch has 720 CFM. So, I more than doubled the suction. Now, it really is a serious wind coming through the 16" x 25" filtered grill I have in the closet door. The air is coming through it BIG TIME. It will blow my shirt over my head if I do not tuck it in my pants. The 14 inch Can Fan Max is sucking air through the vented door that hard. I thought I would try it for an hour without the AC I installed turned on. Temperatures from rig to rig range from 36 to 41 WITHOUT the Air Conditioner on. I'm sure I may need to turn on the AC in the summer time. This should be plenty of suction now for when I add eight S4's to this closet. Just thought I would share this in case anyone thought about putting their rigs in a small space in their home. I will end up with 8 S4's and 16 S3's when its all done. A total of 23.2 Th/s. Don't mind the mess. I'm still remodeling the downstairs. I need to put some base molding at the bottom of the walls. I also need to finish grouting the tile in the data/mining closet. In this picture you see the 8000 BTU air conditioner I installed and it is on. This closet is only 122 Cubic Feet. The 8 inch exhaust fan had 720 cubic feet per minute (CFM) of suction but needed help with the Air Conditioner I installed. That 720 CFM was not enough suction for the heat being generated by the rigs. I could not imagine what the heat would be like once I add eight S4's to this closet. That's why I installed the 14 inch 1820 CFM exhaust fan. I can have it going without the AC on and the temperatures are acceptable to me with the door closed [36 C to 41 C in each S3's "miner status"]. In this picture you see the 8 inch diffuser on the back wall near the ceiling that used to be installed for the 8 inch exhaust fan. That was recently replaced with a 16 inch filtered return grill that you see in one of the first pictures above. This is a picture from the back side of the closet in the garage when I had the 8 inch Hyper Fan 720 CFM. It has since been replaced with the 14 inch Can Fan Max 1820 CFM I've allowed for 3 inches of clearance between the wall and the back of the 20 inch shelves to allow power cords or any other cords to pass through. This is a picture of the vertical 1.5 inch PVC pipes with elbows installed on the garage wall adjacent to the data/mining farm closet. You see them just to the right of the 6 feet latter. This is a picture of when I cut eight 17 feet runs of wire outside in the driveway for the data/mining farm closet before install. This is where my rigs were downstairs just to the left of the closet I have them in now. My wife was complaining about the heat and the noise. So, I had to come up with something.

That closet would make a great dryer. Nice setup I wish you great returns. I suppose it could make a great dryer IF I cut off the exhaust fan. It is actually quite cool in their at the moment. Internally the rigs are between 34 Celsius and 40 Celsius. They would get even cooler if I turn on the 8000 BTU air conditioner. However, I'm leaving it off till the summer time. The actual temperature in the closet is approximately 73 Fahrenheit without the AC on. I have a window open next to the closet door. It's allowing cool air to come in from outside and it's getting sucked in through the large grill/vent in the closet door. Yes, I hope we all get great returns here soon. BTC at $350.81 for the moment on BitStamp. We need help with BTC getting higher to contend with this rising difficulty. Thanks, David

Approximately 6200 watts if you count the watts also used from the 14 inch exhaust fan, modem, switch and wireless router. 5400 watts with just the 16 rigs and PSU's by themselves. The Air Conditioner is not on. If it was on, it would add another 800 watts, for a total of 7000 watts. The AC is off during the winter of course. It may be that I keep it off during the summer as well. The reason I say this is because I'm new at mining. I bought 16 S3's inside of two weeks and did this closet the next week after that. I may find that I don't need the AC on during the summer because the air from the AC in the house sucked in through the closet door vent [16" x 25"] may be sufficient. I just ordered my first S4 a couple of hours ago. So, it's on the way.

Don't be surprised if your home cooling costs go up in the summer. If your house is the source of air to the closet, then it will no doubt draw warm air in from outside, which will get cooled, at a cost, by you house AC. Probably less than 800 watts, but unlikely zero cost.

How will it draw warm air in from outside when it will be blowing hot air from the closet to the outside like a jet engine? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DxbWXo4dF4

OP: sweet setup There you go Now you said it correctly. I knew that. Thanks for the props!!! I will have french doors installed by summer downstairs to keep from sucking as much of the cool air from upstairs to the down stairs closet. I will use fans in the house next summer as well; along with ceiling fans. Have the AC set on 77 in the house and if I have to turn on the AC in the closet, so be it. The downstairs is usually always 8 to 10 degrees cooler than the upstairs. I have a split foryer (spelling) house. The main level is upstairs. Office, Recreation room, full bath and 3 closets are downstairs. I want to close off the recreation room with french doors. That will keep the cool air upstairs from going downstairs as much. Don't think I was being a smart ass. I was about to mention in another post that it will still suck cool air I generate from the House AC out of the house.

something (outside air) has to replace the house air that is drawn through the closet and ultimately to the outside.
Also, when you say "something (outside air) has to replace the house air," just wanted to let you know you should have a "RETURN VENT" in your house/apartment that sucks the "INSIDE AIR" through the return then the condensers then out the vents... over and over and over again. But again, yes, the 14 inch exhaust fan will suck cool air from the recreation room through the 16 inch x 25 inch vent in the closet door and outside from the garage. I will have it vented from the garage to the outside by the time summer gets here. Thanks again for the props!!! David

Also in high electricity cost states the power company still only pays $0.08 per KW. Each antminer will use about 8 KW in a day, which would only be worth $0.65 if sold to the electricity company (these numbers are even lower if in the Mid-west areas with low demand). Antminer S1's will still make $2.38 a day in bitcoin, so even without price speculation the antminers would pay more per KW (not factoring in cooling expenses at the moment)
We get $0.80 per kw/h here..it made my 10kw setup a great investment.

Just added an S4. I also got in two vertical PDU's and a lot of cords. I'm waiting for some 240V outlets to get here from California before installing the PDU's and all.
