I will be tagging forum topics with [BUYING] and [SELLING] tags to make it easier for forum users to navigate.

You are welcome to object to this policy if you feel it is a bad policy, etc.

I tag my own with [WTB] or [WTS] because it's shorter and more of the title can fit on the main page under the "Last post" section of the forum.

Might be a bit more difficult to understand to non-native English speakers.

How about [BUY] and [SELL]?

Or maybe just
Code:
[B] / [S]
or even
Code:
B: / S:

That's nice too.

Truthfully, I don't care as long as it's shorter than [BUYING] and [SELLING].

What about separate child boards for buying and selling?

WTB and WTS seem less ambiguous than BUY and SELL.  If a thread says buy, it could mean the OP wants to buy something, or that people can buy something in the thread.

Also my [FS] selling thread just got a [BUY] put on it so I changed it to [SELL]  Huh

Umm... yeah, WTB and WTS are definitely more standard than "BUY" and "SELL" which are, as has already been said, ambiguous.

Double extra downvote for BUY/SELL.

Upvote for WTB/WTS

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it.  There was never anything there in the first place.

Why don't we simply have a "buying" and "selling" section..? It will save you hours of pointless categorization.

A waste of time since the bitcoin forum prohibited the selling and buying of black market goods in one own's country.

I created subforums.

Topics will remain in the outer marketplace section if they don't fit neatly into one of the subforums. For example, an announcement of a new exchange would go in the outer section.

Not really, I mean stuff that might have some cultural conflics, like porn, warez, "Terrorist Cookbook", etc. Or is otherwise not school/collage/work safe.

a) Everything has cultural conflicts.

b) For some people, porn is work-safe.
