http://cointelegraph.com/news/112375/10-reasons-why-bitcoin-is-better-than-paypal

It is no secret to Bitcoin users that digital currency makes PayPal’s model of online transaction look somewhat archaic by comparison. While the method was the darling of the online community in years gone by, the rapid advance of Bitcoin in particular has caused PayPal to come increasingly under the spotlight recently.

There is even an online platform for users to share their horror stories and experiences when using PayPal: http://www.paypalsucks.com/

Stories of high fees, delayed payments and frozen accounts are also now abound in forums and news resources, while Ebay’s (PayPal) CEO, John Donahoe, even stated that Paypal will to have to integrate digital currencies in their wallet sometime in the near future. But while the company considers how to move forward, the world of digital currencies is quickly gaining a foothold and gaining momentum.

Paypal does indeed suck, but give it time and I'm sure there will be a bitcoinsucks.com detailing many bitcoin horror stories too, though no doubt they'll be problems with the actual technology but losing money in various ways.

Paypal is surviving just because of Ebay, Amazon.etc. Had Ebay dropped Paypal as a mode of payment, then it would have long become extinct. IMO, all these people (Visa, Master, Paypal, WU.etc) are a greedy bunch. But what differentiates Paypal from the rest is the fact that they are the greediest among them. Last used Paypal in 2011. Had enough.

Yeah, the last time I used it was back in 2012 when a bunch of us over at ronpaulforums would pool money to chipin accounts via paypal to send people to CPAC to help Ron Paul win the straw poll.

What does Amazon have to do with Paypal? You can't spend it there can you? Ebay made Paypal really. It serves it's purpose for that industry though and probably will continue to be used as long as ebay is going. They wont want to kill that cash cow.
