The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Because if someone disagrees with you, you're obviously wrong.

Where does the reputation come from anyway, I can't seem to find any ratings buttons to press?

you need 250+ posts to give reputation.

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

Oh, I see.  But it's a shitty system if a 250+'er can wake up in a crappy mood one day and give a whole lot of people -1 just because he disagrees with their viewpoints.

But anyway, I look forward to my 250+ posts, then I'll -1 anyone who don't know the difference between their, they're and there, or who can't spell to definitely.  What a merry day that'll be!  Wink

Cheers,

As we slide down the banister of life, this is just another splinter in our ass.

I can't remember the source, but I remember something zipping by on twitter the other day that was about a malicious user script to give large numbers of people on bitcoin forums negative ratings...as far as stupid comments go, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eternal_September
