Why would one want to purchase such an account? I get that buying a Bitcointalk account is profitable, but a Reddit account? How could you use that in your advantage?

There are a lot of people buying Reddit accounts.

When someone wants to advertise their product (there are several other reasons), it always helps when he has a lot of karma points on his account.

There are also buyers that don't need that their account has karma points. They only want that their account is very old (7-8 years). In this case they do two things :

1. There are services that offer karma boost very fast (I don't do that. I'm just a reseller)
2. They start building karma with their own comments and links and in a few months they get account with many karma points, and they already have account that is made several months - year after reddit started to exist.

 I have one that is 8 month old and has 31 comment karma , the other is 1.

 Another one with more than 1 yearh (almost 2 I guess ) but no karma at all

 Willing to sell both if they worth anything , do they?
