Hi I'm trying to update my Bitcoin wallet but am unable to access bitcoin.org can anyone tell me why that is?

You can update your wallet here too. If you check the menu bar, above it where it says News, click the download. Smiley

What happened to the site I am not sure, might have something to do with the bitcoin foundation.

What happened to the site I am not sure, might have something to do with the bitcoin foundation.

Whilst that's true if the bitcoin.org site is down then the link here will be as it is hosted there. I just tried and it wasn't loading.

Why don't you just download a light wallet that doesnt download the blockchain instead? You can upload your wallet to blockchain.info and spend the funds immediately as far as I'm aware.

I need access to my Bitcoin so I can trade.

U dont need to access the github repository to access your coins. If u have your private keys, u may import your coins to blockchain.info wallet and start trading.

Moreover, Bitcoin.org is now online too.

Website is running and working fine here for me also. Possibly a glitch with the server when you went on earlier? Are you still having the same problems?

Check clearing your browser history or try using another browser.Or the problem might also be caused by firewall check it too.
