So, it seems that Goat just revealed his balance at Bitcoin Savings & Trust:

Note: Payments paid yesterday where added to your account (regardless if you are reinvested) just for record purposes while we switched over.  They'll be removed so don't go spending them. Smiley

Looks awesome but I think you over paid me 285.97519541 BTC  :/   Can you double check that?  Thanks.

We can calculate his balance from the interest payment 285.97519541 / 0.07 = 4 085.35993 BTC.

As most people know, he runs TyGrr-Bank which promises 3% weekly dividends. The issue here is that Goat made explicit statements in his threads that he is not going to invest further into Pirate’s bank (bold emphasis mine):

It is no secret I have money in Pirates bank account. However I am doing this TyGrr-Bank to keep me from having to withdraw too much of my savings. I'm not adding to that account, just trying to keep it level. I do not think this violates the rules but if it does Pirate will let me know. He will notice it is going down today sadly.
Notice how he says he will not add to his bank account, the balance of which he reveals later on:

p.s. My balance in Pirate bank is just now around 1800, I pulled out over 500 to make a payment. My long term goal is to keep this at or above 2000 due to his new payment rules.
This does not sound like he will be adding anything later on either.

So, as of now he has over 4k there and even with 2k he only would have gained a balance of 2.68k.

The question is, did the difference come from TyGrr-Bank shareholders? I want to put that up to discussion, because if this is true, he must have lied.

He's saying he may have been overpaid. How do you know that the amount shouldn't be less? Perhaps half?

Because he wasn't overpaid.

Goat chose not to reinvest with pirate, but for accounting reasons, pirate sent out 7% interest payments to both the accounts and the wallets of the people who chose not to reinvest.  He says he'll take the payments away later.

So 285 = 7%.

And since he chose not to reinvest, the balance shouldn't have increased at all.

I haven't been keeping up with that thread and it's hard to tell with the deleted posts and edits, but is it possible he was saying he was overpaid by the amount of 285, not that that was what was received?

I understand the OP.  When I looked at my account I said to myself "He paid me the interest out normally but here is exactly the same amount, right there, added to my account.  He obviouly overpaid me - paying out the interest and then reinvesting the same amount in my account - COOL"  Since the "overpayment" is exactly what was paid to me in interest (no I am not going to tell you how much) we are almost certain that the amount quoted by Goat is, in fact, his weekly interest payment amount.

Goat appears to be a trustworthy individual; I would stake my btc is his venture pretty comfortably. I reckon he'll resolve this all soon.

OP:

Can you clearly state when/where did Goat die? Pirate confirmed at (02:42:08 PM) that it was an overpayment, still an hour later (03:51:36 PM) you had posted this topic?

I also expect your apologies for your inability to read.

I decided not to start a flame war. But since you want to, go ahead answer the questions.

BTW do you understand what "above 2000" means?

Pirate overpaid in the sense that he sent the interest payment to the withdrawal address as well as added it to the bank’s balance for accounting reasons, as should be evident from the explanations here and his thread.

BTW do you understand what "above 2000" means?
I do. Do you understand the context he said it in (why 2000), and the other quote? I believe that if there is one of us who posts before he reads, it must be you.

I’ll be out of this thread now, it was meant for informational purpose to the public he gathers investments from.

a) He said that his balance is 1800 and he will not be adding customer's money  to it.
b) He said that he will increase his balance to 2k or above 2k.

So where is the lie?

Also if someone has a real question for me I will answer it.    :/    Oh, and no, I'm not dead yet, lol.    Grin

Sure.

What's your balance with pirate right now? Did you use any money from your bank to invest into pirate's bank?

If you are getting your dividends from TyGrr bank and your money isn't being used to hurt anyone, why does it matter what Goat's exact balance in pirate is, or how he invests the money, for that matter?

As a neutral party, I fail to see the big deal here...

Because if Goat invests too much in Pirate, then the chance of him defaulting if Pirate defaults is almost 100%. In that case, people would much rather just invest in Pirate directly. People are willing to take the lower interest rate from Goat because they trust him more than they trust Pirate.
