Yeah Avira is a decent solution if you really need to use an antivirus software - which is recommended if you're running a Windows machine. They're doing quite a decent job, I guess. |
I should have gotten into Bitcoin back in 1992...

Malwarebytes is great at detecting Malware on your system and removing it. I would suggest you use Avira as a virus scanner and run Malwarebytes to protect you from Malware (which is a killer in the bitcoin scene). |

Free Avast is good enough. Just be vigilant what you do online. Open suspected files on another computer or vps. Scan the files with online scanner virustotal.com |

I like AVG for a free version, we get along well together.... it doesnt piss me off with silly sounds and regular pop ups & it seems to find the odd threat every now and again.

According to av test and my own personal experience, Bitdefender Internet security is the best out there. A bit more annoying than Norton but scans much faster and uses less resources.

With Kaspersky I've never had a virus infection but have had malware infections but still recommend it.
