Personally, I have a pressing need to send funds to N'djamena, Tchad, ASAP.  I will probably have to use Western Union, and I may vomit.   To avoid this in future, I am creating this thread.

That is too specific I am afraid. There are a few exchangers in Nigeria and South Africa of course. Maybe they can handle it?

The closest exchanges or dealers that I can think of would be in Nigeria.

money-express.com you can send to the Chad Post office for pickup or just find somebody who trades bitcoins for Western Union.

Anybody crazy enough to attempt an African bitcoin exchange you could try an Ecobank corporate account to receive cash at any of their branches http://www.ecobank.com/solutinos_c.aspx however a quick google reveals the tellers often screw this up, and paying out probably requires a pile of red tape and huge fees though.
