I remember about a year ago, there was this website bitlords.net, which was basically a pyramid scheme scam. The site is since long removed, but their YouTube video is still up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omJEgBNOiPU and a reddit thread about it: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1ia0nl/i_just_got_a_pm_invitation_to_a_pyramid_scheme/c

The site was poorly made. It consisted solely of text, and had a lot of misspellings, for example; it said "Startergy" instead of strategy.

I deposed BTC0.2 into it just to see if it actually worked, and of course it didn't. Now that I think back, I kick myself for doing it.

Does anyone here remember it?

Affiliate pyramid/matrix's are not scams. As long as you have the skills to refer new people they keep paying. Although generally I prefer free to join matrix rather than paid subscription.

Sounds like you might be talking about a hyip or ponzie? Which most of the time if done professionally is a "long con" rather than straight up scam. Which means profit is possible for early adopters in some cases but certainly not all. (no i don't remember bitlords)
