Hi There!

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction so I may once again trade Bitcoins in Chile. I was regular user of the now defunct TradeHill and like many others I was left without a reliable exchange to have some bitcoin fun.  Cry

Perhaps some chilean user has Bitcoins for sale? Or an easy way to transfer money from Chile to MtGox?

thanks everyone  Smiley

Couldn't you find a supply locally?  I keep reading about these Chilean miners.

Sorry, that joke was ... probably too soon? not funny.

There is the ability to purchase via SMS / mobile through BlockChain.info.  The price isn't super but Chile is one of the countries in the list:

Just checked this option and:
-It's very expensive
-I can only add 0.06 BTC per MONTH!

So, no luck for me I guess. Any other options or suggestions are very welcome  Cry

Here is a merchant that accepts bitcoin for payment.  Maybe they might know a way to exchange CLP for BTC:

You might try Liberty Reserve ( http://www.libertyreserve.com/en/exchangers ).  They appear to have companies servicing Latin America.  Once you have Liberty Reserve money you can trade on Vircurex (https://vircurex.com) for Bitcoins and seven altcoins as well.

Just make sure you get the real Liberty Reserve site.  There was a scam site a few months ago that took people's money.

You might be right.

We just want to supply people in Chile with coins for now since is SUCH a hassle to get them here, hence the higher price, through some meditation on your feedback we came to the conclusion that for now we will have a MUCH smaller fee.

Check new fees please.

Are you in the Santiago/Viña corner of Chile? Registered on bitcoinary and localbitcoins?
If BTC drops further I might contact you. Else I might be interested in selling in 2 weeks again.

®  es una marca de mi-billetera.com Chile Limitada

After looking some more, it looks more solid than I thought after following this first link. Their exchange rate is a bit tough though. >$130.
