Saving a tiny bit every month to add up.
I view this as a long shot investment same as lottery except cheaper.

By that date I should have at least 7. I'd like 10 but I don't think it's realistic unless we see more of a drop.
Need to be careful....big tax bill in January and they won't except bitcoins so must not get too excited buying these coins!

I am saving 0.5 BTC every month so hopefully 4 BTC by the end of year.
That's the way you do it.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised about the fact that most bulltards here seem to own way less than one BTC.

The way things have been going this year, in a couple more months you might be able to own them all for a few dollars!

I just went down the street and bought another 2 coins while the price is still low.
Thank heavens I don't need to rely on nosy exchanges and expose my coins to the internet.
Paper wallets are good. Anonymity is good.
Life is good.

The price will be significantly lower six months from now.

That's ridiculous. It's the beartards who don't own any coins and keep their money in fiat who are always spewing off at the mouth about how Bitcoin is going down. The bulls still have lots of coins, as well as Lamborginis and castles they bought with their excess Bitcoin profits. Most bears don't even mine and probably never did and I suspect have never bought anything other than fiat with what coins they might of had. Maybe you should throw a few million satoshis onto a mobile device and go buy a beer.

That's the way you do it. I would go for a slightly tweaked approach in which you save/buy $250 worth of bitcoin every month (if you don't need that money for something else of course). The dollar (or whatever your local currency is) is a more stable unit of value in the short term.

Stable but guaranteed to decrease in value. Bitcoin could go either way.

Stable but guaranteed to decrease in value. Bitcoin could go either way. Agreed for a long time frame, that's why I added short term. Also, I wasn't giving advice to hold dollars, rather a way to calculate the 'monthly buy amount' in the most stable way (especially true as long as your paycheck and daily expenses are in fiat).

Ten would be nice and still achievable. Its good to buy now when you still can get significant amounts of btc with just normal salary from an every day job. One more magnitude and it doesn't make too much sense anymore and bigger gains have to be made by trading.
