Or is it broken intentionally to force us to make a donation so we could continue the game? Turns out that the reason "star.mp3" worked is because I was connected via TOR. Any password works when you access http://whit3r4bbi7.com/onedoorclosesanotherdooropens/ via TOR network. Makes sense now...

The answer is using TOR to access the site, then the site let you pass with any ID, which makes sense as the site was clearly a hint about privacy issues.

It very likely is at least a Counterparty issue, try pressing the sign button several times without changing the message, every time it is a different signature.
