Yes, I've had several customers from Germany, no problems so far.

Awesome.

Do sell individual parts, too?

For instance, just the laser (with cooling) and the driver.

I could but it wouldn't be much cheaper than the whole laser unfortunately. The driver and laser module are the most work to build.

Finally! Most lasers are now back in stock.. But now we're out of green lasers. I really gotta streamline the stocking procedure somehow.

We recently acquired a laser power meter to verify the output of our lasers. We found that often the specified powers were an understatement! Here's the result of the last 1800mW kit we sold, for example: http://imgur.com/rPFuupM

It's probably intentional. DNS is down so they're probably doing maintenance or switching hosts.

We changed domain registrar (to someone accepting bitcoin  Smiley ), that was the cause of the downtime. All sorted out now.

One question about your 250 mW 660nm Red Laser.

If I was to use this at night, would it be so bright that I would be required to use safety glasses? Or am I safe? I need to know how bright it is as I want to go paintballing at night and would like a solid beam laser that isn't bright as the sun.

Same question applies to your 50 mw and 100 mw Green Lasers.

You can absolutely not use them as a paintball marker attachment, at least not when playing with other people.. While the beam or dot is safe to look at, a direct hit to the eye can cause permanent eye damage even from a distance. Handle the laser like a gun, never point it towards people.

I am working on stocking some 100% safe low powered lasers, but it would probably take a while before they are ready for sale, they are still in the planning phase.

I would buy a strong laser but in Germany/Austria they are not allowed. Customs will probably seize it. Could you ship it somehow stealth? Please pm.

I sell the lasers partly disassembled in order for them to be theoretically legal to import to most countries. I've probably sold around over 100 lasers now, and only once has a package been intercepted by customs. That was in Australia, which has one of the strictest customs in the world. Even still, this was just one out of several orders to Australia, the rest had no problems.

You could sell them disassembled in 2 separate packages, and avoid to write "laser" on the label, better "torch" or sth.
Is this feasible?
I saw you have two strong violet lasers. Are they different in size/look?

Just a warning to NZ residents that lasers will be banned very shortly so customs won't allow them in.

I can do this for an extra shipping fee but as said the way I ship them normally is pretty safe as well. The chance of them being confiscated is very low.

No, they look nearly identical, the difference is the lens which is much more efficient.

What is the main purpose of this laser?

Looks all good.. first time I have heard of such product .. maybe I don't get the purpose.

I'm opening up a little store selling handheld lasers and accessories for bitcoin!

These lasers are all built by me from parts, so these are pretty much unique. You won't find this powerful lasers except on a few select sites, and my prices are also usually lower.

The lasers are sold in semi-assembled states. Some assembly is required, though it is very easy, takes only a couple of minutes are require no tools or experience. Selling the lasers like this makes them legal to import, so you don't have to worry about customs.

Now, I CAN NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH: If you want to buy a laser, you must absolutely understand the dangers involved. A split-second of the beam hitting your eye, and you might permanently damage your vision. These lasers are absolutely not toys. I sell protective glasses and I absolutely encourage that you buy and use them. These lasers are also prohibited in some countries, make sure you know the local laws.

I figure bitcoin is mostly used by geeks (no offense Smiley ), and what does a geek love more than a badass laser? So take a look: http://bitlasers.com

If you have any questions, please contact me on this forum, or at gitlem@lavabit.com .
