The Fappening has affected Jennifer Lawrence, Victoria Justice and various other popular starlets thanks to an iCloud hack. We can't say for sure whether or not the ambitious hacker reverse engineered passwords from email addresses Honan style or took advantage of a security hole, but one thing is for certain: the nudes are out there. And the anonymous hacker has already made a pretty penny from Bitcoin and PayPal donations from what seems to be just the tip of the iceberg. Which makes one wonder: what is about to fappen? And will the iCloud hacker/Fapture initiater ever be brought to justice?

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

A pretty penny? Last I read he hadn't actually recieved many bitcoins at all. Apple has also denied they were maliciously exploited but I don't really believe them. Seems a bit far-fetched that the hackers could target all these celebs individually.

This is why the cloud as it currently works is not a good idea. We need a more secure internet, and that internet is decentralized (maybe maidsafe, or something similar, will be the solution).

I don't believe I'd click on that link provided above by the brand new poster to bitcointalk - so i won't be thanking him now or later.

1st, I believe the McKayla pictures were taken by a girl younger than 18. 2cd, they are stolen property, 3rd, it's obviously a link from a forum user with no history.

I was hoping that the bitcoin forum could instead of focusing on how a thief gets to use bitcoin to extort victims...

I was hoping we could focus on how the bitcoin protocol could prevent users from having their private information stolen instead.
