Selling 25k coins wouldn't drop the price below $100 USD please stop with the FUD..

You are right.

But dumping 25k in a day or two will drop the coin BY at least $100 USD.

Remember cooperate mining farms are selling coin everyday to recoup their investment and electricity.
Actually by current price and support it could drop below 100$.

correct

Even thought it's correct quote it doesn't mean that they will do it and they probably WON'T. Smiley

Why they should sell all their bitcoins, in this way their capital will be worth less due to the decreasing btc price.

I really don't think that the Ethereum dump caused any of this. If they decide to dump their coins, so be it. Won't hurt the price that much. If they really are in for the long run and still are Bitcoin enthusiasts, they'll keep most of their coins and wait for better days to sell them off!

I should have gotten into Bitcoin back in 1992...

Wow, so much bitcoin into an alt presale. Don't know much about this Ethereum, worth a look I guess, but probably won't buy any.

You might be able to buy them at cheaper prices on the market than people paid for them during the IPO.

It effectively isn't just an alt coin. It's some sort of commodity/coin/whatever that get consumed if you buy something with it. It can be used to buy certain services if you will. Although I gotta say I'm no expert and may not even have gotten the concept completely right Cheesy

That's why they can't dump right now, they are blocked. Just try to dump 1000 btc right now and see what happens!
but they are not the ones, there are other whales who want to cash out and they also blocked with these low volumes (take a look at pumps and dumps right now).

Lower price only means bigger players getting in. Overall picture = headed towards ATH.

Won't be worse than the mr 102 event, or when someone dumped a fuckton of coins on Gox, enough to fill all buy orders. Both situations the price returned back to normal in little time.

And they don't need to dump to crash the price, only the fact that they have such ammount of coins will be enough to scare people and drop the price Sad

It is not going to be one big dump. It is going to be a slow process, grinding the price down (or at least preventing it from taking off)

From the ether genesis sales terms and conditions document
It is possible that the value of BTC will drop significantly, depriving EthSuisse of sufficient resources to continue to operate. In order to guard against this risk, EthSuisse intends to periodically convert proceeds from the sale of ETH into fiat.
