According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

This is a nice idea, I hope that the winners will use the reward to introduce other people to bitcoins.

Just installed an empty bit wallet today.  I found this board through other links and decided to start reading up on it.  No BCTs yet, but I figured I'd educate myself first.

I am not that new but here is the reason I think you should give me some. I am promoting helping poor people in Pakistan especially the ones that have been displaced due to war on terror. You can look me up on facebook by searching donatehash. The idea I have is to have a self sustaining setup where people can donate there cellphone hashing power while they are charging for mining at night time. Also once I have enough funds I will be purchasing hashing power and getting it hosted so that I dont have to ask people for funds anymore. The first step in doing this is that I have already invested 221 usd in picking a miner at zenminer through gawminers. And will only use its funds for helping poor.

My address is:
1FbiAYWsbkn7eXVthDzH26m41EGgjJBfBs

Also I am working on collaboration with bitcoinpk to educate people on bitcoin and altcoins as I believe that is the future of currency. If you need further information about me you can pm me to confirm any information.

As others said above, they just banned it in the altcoin section. But in general you shouldn't give people incentives to post in your threads apparently, and should only do so at most in the Games and Rounds section. So, maybe this should be moved there?

I am so confused Huh  I have been trying to buy $20.00 of bitcoin for the past two weeks with paypal, to no avail, yet i can get a dollars worth here just for giving you my bitcoin addy?  ok, sure.  I'm game.

1NUGACQUKiW8E2s4PF3sL1fZ4EAeCvrjis

There ya go.

As to why you should give it to me?  Other than out kindness, or personal satisfaction on your part, i can honestly think of no reason why you should give anyone anything.  If you should give me $1.00 in bitcoin, thank you very much.  If not, thanks anyway Smiley

ps.  If anyone can help me purchase $20.00US via paypal, your help would be much appreciated.

Greetings from East Texas!

This is such a great concept, that I will have to get on the bandwagon I will take your one dollar, add four of my own and make a contest with my Friends on Facebook. Random Address will be picked on 9/8 and sent $5.00 worth of bitcoins. 1CVuYMujkDpUz3mhwQB6vqkxRz3hgzoAZH
