I did contact inside bitcoin, and let them know. I am also sure they saw this thread with almost 600 hits
Most of us Paid $6,000 for miner, but what they sent was a $900 no name dragon type miner. And in my case being on the "naughty list" (because I filed complaints with FTC etc.) mine was send with no power supply. They send me a power supply seperately, but I refuse to build the miner myself.
This is a clear case of federal wire fraud in my opinion, they advertised one thing costing $6,000 and send some random hardware worth a few hundred.
The second case of wire fraud in my opinion is with the MPP, they clearly advertised it to get pre-orders, however when customers brought it up AMT said things like "Screw the MPP" and "We cant do the MPP anymore". Well they collected millions of dollars, and then they just don't deliver what they advertised. It seems pretty clear to me.
Right, there are a number of illegal elements to this. No trade conference should be allowing them to participate with all this handing over their heads. It makes the conference look unreputable as well. Basically encouraging this kind of behavior. Fact that BFL is also on there as well is a huge flag considering that they even have a convicted felon on wire fraud as part of their company. These conferences do themselves no favors letting people like this into their floors as exhibitors or sponsors.
