Hi everybody,

I recently did a coin for cxboyminer. We agreed on 1/3 payment prior to delivery and 2/3 payment after delivery. He wanted a custom Quark coin and he negotiated to a heavily discounted price of 0.45 BTC. He still owes me 2/3 of the payment (0.3 BTC).

Here are the details of the coin he wanted me to produce and the links to the goods I produced :

Name:  ioCash
Abbreviation: IOH
Max number of coins : 1.22 billion
Timings of block (in seconds) : 25 seconds
Logo of coin (please provide link) : later
Pre-mine amount in number of coins (if needed): no premine
Coins per Block : 250

-----------------------------

QT Wallets : http://www.speedyshare.com/9HBWf/ioCash-QT.zip

Source code : http://speedy.sh/vmSdQ/ioCash-Delivery.zip

I realized he was going to be a challenging client when he kept changing his mind on settings for the coin and seemed very uncertain.

No deadline was set but I did tell him it would be delivered in arpox 72 hours. He said no problem. Admittedly, It did take slightly longer I think 4-5 days in total.

48 hours prior to delivery he sent me a message on Skype telling me he changed his mind and wanted to cancel. I told him I had done most of the coding and if he was going to cancel it was going to be 0.4 BTC. He said ok then carry on take the time you need.

24 hours prior to delivery he said your too late and another dev already delivered. I made it very clear to him it was not my problem if he hired multiple devs to complete the coin and I would be making delivery the next day. I kinda felt sorry for the guy and offered him to settle the project for 0.375 btc , no reply.

I delivered the coin ...  I have messaged him both on skype and bitcointalk no reply. I warned I would take further action. No reply. Looking at his profile has has been online.

Anyway, Not sure if I can get my money back.... I mean I trusted this guy since he is a Senior member , has an escrow service and positive trust rating ! I mean who the hell can you trust here if you can't trust such a guy.  This should be a cautionary tale for everybody , trust no-one.

Here is his profile : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=148493

If he comes onto hear and starts lying I have the skype logs and bitcointalk message logs to prove otherwise. A part of me thinks this is a decent guy maybe going to pay me the money due but I suspect I'm wrong.

cxboyminer if your reading this you know my btc address please send payment.

Message from cxboyminer : i got scammed once before, lost all btc so now im very cautious. Not saying that you are a scammer, just being careful Smiley

Fair enough, how much again for the quark clone but better Tongue ? I hope this wont die within days and you will get a big fat positive trust for helping me regardless Smiley

how about 1/3 pre-paid and then 2/3 afterwards. I dont scam people (trust, as usual).

Do consider Smiley
Hi,

Ok since you have trust and are a senior member sure why not. 1/3 pre-paid and 2/3 afterwards sounds ok.

Yes their are a lot of scammers here ... Just a week ago I had a guy run off with a coin and not pay me sigh :/ . Yes a nice positive trust on my account would be very helpful and help reassure clients of my trustworthiness.

Anyway, yes so I can do the Quark clone for 0.45 BTC. So 1/3 is 0.15 BTC . If you could send initial payment to: 1LcCDSoWYSGfWSeg5gDpCvEretWQx9iR6j that would be great and I will start developing.

BTW are the settings the same :

Name:  Core
Abbreviation: COE
Max number of coins : 188 million
Timings of block (in seconds) : 25 seconds
Logo of coin (please provide link) : later
Pre-mine amount in number of coins (if needed): no premine
Coins per Block : 1314

Thanks

no i mean... how long will the coin last until all coins are mined?

Thanks
Oh ok ...

Based on my calculations you would run out in 41 days.

Here are my calculations if your interested.

You said 25 second blocks so that's 86400(seconds in a day)/25 (one block in seconds ) = 3456 blocks per day

3456 blocks * 1314 coins per block = 4541184 coins per day

You said you wanted max coins at 188 000 000 so that's ... 188000000/4541184 = 41.4 days

If you want to increase the length of the coin you can increase the max coin figure or seconds needed to make a block. Or if you want you can reduce the coins in a block.

Thanks

damn. can i make it to at least 3 years... how about increasing the max to 270 million and coins_per_block to around ~250?

ta
Hi,

Again based on my calculations you would run out in one year

864000 coins per day

270 000 000 / 864000 = 312 days

If you want to make it 3 years I would say increase max coin figure to 1.22 billion. Then you would have this...

864000 coins per day

1 220 000 000 / 864000 = 1412 days

1412/365 = 3.86 years ...

Does that sound better ?

Thanks

Aug 31:

Hi cxboyminer,

Your coin is ready. Sorry for the delay the internet is very slow atm and uploading took very long.

I have extensively tested the core of the code and mined a few blocks on the testnet network so everything should be working fine.

I have a node running here : 173.XXXXXXX

You can download the QT and Source code from the links below :

http://speedy.sh/vmSdQ/ioCash-Delivery.zip

http://www.speedyshare.com/HSBdA/ioCash-QT.zip

I give my clients 72 hours to confirm everything is ok or report any issues etc.

Once you confirm everything is ok please send remaining 0.3 BTC to : 1LcCDSoWYSGfWSeg5gDpCvEretWQx9iR6j

Thanks
The Altcoin Guy

Sept 01:
Hi,

Just looked at the link I sent you and I realized the QT zip did not have the Windows QT.

My sincerest apologizes it seems I gave you the wrong link.

The link below has the Linux and Windows QTs as agreed upon.

Once you confirm everything is ok please send remaining 0.3 BTC to : 1LcCDSoWYSGfWSeg5gDpCvEretWQx9iR6j

Sept 03 :

Hi cxboyminer,

It has been over 72 hours since delivery and I have no received a reply from you. This means that by default your order is confirmed to be okay.

Please send the remaining payment of 0.3 BTC immediately to the address below.

1LcCDSoWYSGfWSeg5gDpCvEretWQx9iR6j

If you fail to send the payment within the next 24 hours I will need to take further actions like posts in scam secion and their will be no warnings.

I hope I can trust you in paying the amount due as agreed and don't need to further action.

This is very frustrating because I already offered you a very high discount, spent a lot of time and trusted you to make 2/3 of payment post delivery and yet i have not received anything.

If you have any queries feel free to message me. BTW I think your coin will do fine just have a little faith in-yourself.

Thanks and I look forward to receiving payment.
