Britcoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=667820.0
Guldencoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=554412.0

Country coins like Guldencoin and Britcoin are focusing on real world uses instead of useless features for pump and dumps. Is this the next trend in crypto currencies?

1 BTC to go from 0.0000056 to 0.00001! Volume is low right now, but if it rises enough to get close enough to the front page, much more than 1 BTC worth of buy orders will send the price skyrocketing because the sell wall is so sparse.

Cryptocurrency doesn't need to be region specific,  its' one of the whole points of it.
It makes no sense to have such territorial coins.

Crypto currency doesn't need to be used internationally either. Usage is what makes a coin, not number of different regions using it.

All the cryptocoins can be mined internationally, how can you call them nation coin? Are some only allowed nationally?

The crypto landscape seems to go through cycles.. for a few weeks/months IPOs become popular, then fall out of favor. High premines, country coins, etc. have all had their 15 minutes of fame. As you say, real use and adoption will ultimately be the key to any coin's success though.

It's the target consumers. Maybe not everyone, but good majority of people would buy their countries crypto currency is they could use it with merchants. The coin though can be used anywhere in the world, though the devs are working on merchants in the UK at the moment.

Those were scam coins. Just like all the other areas of crypto have scam coins.

You are incorrect. Also, all these "volume is rising!" / "the market looks great!" posts make it clear that you're trying to sell us something. If you think Mazacoin is a scam, I encourage you to start reading its weekly development reports, talk to devs on IRC, etc.

Looking at how fast Guldencoin is growing, absolutely out of this world. Not talking about price but adoption. Never seen a coin with such fast updates since I have been involved in Cryptos.
Britcoin will have some serious competition with Sterlingcoin but Guldencoin is the one that could put Cryptos on mainstream map in Netherlands.

Guldencoin > Litecoin within 2 years.

Sorry, there were many "country" related scam coins. My mistake for thinking Mazacoin was one. I should have looked closer at the names he posted.
