Yeah, it's not really tasty. Eating meat is actually pretty disgusting in my opinion. I mean, you're tearing an animal apart and proceed to eat it. To just breed them in order to slaughter them... it's a cruel thing, really!

Red meat is not red because of blood but because of myoglobin. Which, similarly to red blood cells carry oxygen. But this is not blood, it's muscle cells.
