No it isnt,its just not cooked enough so it keeps its orginial color and taste.

Well, color of our blood depends on many things, from level of oxygen in it to your eating habits (like what you eat often, if you have enough vitamins, minerals and so). It's different for everyone and mainly dependant on oxygen levels  Smiley

Personally, I like it as rare as I can eat it without being sick.  I wouldn't mind blood in my food so long as I could know it wasn't contaminated.

But why would you want to make yourself disgusted by something you like? It's good to eat meat, it's a necessary part of our diet.  Vegans and vegetarians have a lot of issues with health and often have to take a ton of supplements to get the nutrients you should be getting from a normal diet. All carnivores and omnivores eat other animals, and fear about hurting them doesn't cross their minds, because it's necessary for survival.

Fillet steak (cooked blue, i.e. not much) is one of the finest dishes I have ever had the pleasure of eating. I would recommend using quality meat that has been raised properly (same goes for all meat, not just beef). Not only will the animal have had a nice, pleasurable life; it will also taste better and generally be more tender.

Yes, most of the red juice spraying out of your rare steak will be myoglobin, although there will almost certainly be a little blood in there too. Doesn't bother me in the slightest, all I know is that shit tastes goooood.

I am thinking about buying some pigs, keeping them well fed and happy for a while, then slaughtering them for food. I would be far happier eating them knowing they had a nice life, rather than buying some shitty packaged pork from the supermarket, which has almost certainly been reared in poor conditions.

Be careful not to bound to much with them as it will be hard to kill them Wink

Good meat is extremely tasty but have been served bad meat lately and it is horrible!

Blood is healthy to digest as long as it's disinfected. There are more enzymes in it.
