So you're telling me that the 90 coin I mined and sent, not knowing that the swap had occurred, has just vanished into the ether?

Well that's a hell of a thing...

If you contact their support and give them a v1 address maybe they will send them back to you? (Or give them the swap address that the coin swap page gives you.)

I opened a ticket and gave them the v1 address and the transaction id's, got acknowledgement, but nothing further.  Playing the waiting game now.

At this point when the swap is over all unclaimed coins will be destroyed but this is up for debate with the community.

My suggestion for the leftover coins, is to put some into faucets, sell some to put into funding the game development, and use them for other similar uses that benefit the long term future the coin.  Stuff that benefits the community, and not an individual or several individuals.

But that's just a suggestion..   Grin

I think that's a great idea. I for one would vote for that. If the devs had a stability fund to use right now would be a perfect time to stack up. I purpose an IPO of sorts for the unclaimed , use the BTC to buy loads of CGA at these prices. Than do like a pay out in CGA to every person who bought into the IPO. Kind if like proof of bag hold ??

That or I would be willing to donate BTC to make a stability fund that's pays out monthly dividends of CGA  Cool

I'd rather see the extra unclaimed coins be redistributed into the world as well. Goes along the lines of the sustainability idea I have at NLG in their NLG specific forum, not at BTCtalk. The coins are already there, I'm sure those people who have V1 coins who won't be switching out would rather see those coins re-introduced than destroyed (lesser of two evils if they can't swap - those people will still be mad either way), maintaining what's in circulation versus cutting the number of coins out there.

There will be an additional ~2k "bonus" coins produced while the two chains are running at the same time, as well. so maybe destroy 2k coins to maintain?

I'll put up a poll once we know how many coins go unclimed.

So far we have:

Destroy
Faucet
IPO style redistribution

Any other ideas?

There is also distribution by how much coin they hold; ie. if someone has 1% of all CGA then they would get 1% of what is left of the premine.

How difficult would that be to pull off?  Can it be automated in some way?

Not that hard, it would be automated yeah. There would probably need to be some cooperation with the exchanges so they can apply the coins they receive to their users' balances.

Who dumped all that CGA at 4000 satoshis? I was going to buy it all at 10-20k satoshis, but now I think I'm with you, we'll just let this one die. RIP CGA

Still a lot of hashrate on CGA, I think I'll keep buying a little here and there while it is low.   Wink

There is still interest in the coin but it was frozen for so long im thinking people just wanted to exit.  They will run out eventually.

I have to agree this is still a solid coin. And the reward structure is still roughly the same. I know I'm scooping up  Cool

I think once the V1 chain is done producing, we can look forward. Should be done in a few days.

This coin isn't made for services or spending, although it could be. Since 1billionhex accepted CGA as a coin to represent items in the game, that's CGA's main purpose and everything is riding on that. CGA was also a proof of concept coin, showing how the hashrate could reflect/affect the payouts. CGA is an old coin, and comes with the scrypt miner generation of back then. In order to get more people on board, we need to advertise CGA is back and better than ever and is still appropriated to 1billionhex. Tweet about CGA about the ongoing swap, not to leave ppl in the dark. I can only reach out to 150 ppl on twitter, it will take more than me tweeting. This message isn't just for the dev or OP owner, it's for the entire community. It takes a community to provide the success we desire. Smiley
