The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

When I saw that Bitcoin was#3, I was really curious about what could have beaten bitcoin!  Grin
But I have to admit, #1 and #2 are pretty impressive too.

I would bump Bitcoin above 3D printers (#2).  3D printers are new technology which would change the way we acquire goods but Bitcoin would fundamentally change the way we use money.

I'm really amazed how fast the technology has been getting better and better, within just a few years, i'm curious which technology we'll see in 10 years it will be awesome... the future is here
