Do you happen to have one of the two?
Ha! I wish.

I got it from this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=54845.0

I'd ask you to avoid donating to people offering to proxy donations through to the charity, but ultimately it's your coin.

Here's a list:

Most of these aren't "charitites" per se, but most are non-profit and ultimately strive towards serving the public interest. Take your pick!

EFF doesn't have an option to donate by Bitcoin?

How can it be?

They had, but took it down as it isn't sure whether BTC is money or not. EFF might in the future need to defend Bitcoin users and it would look weird if they'd accept donations in Bitcoin themselves.

You can donate to Wikileaks too, but I guess any charity out there will sooner or later need to convert the BTC back to USD/EUR/...

https://www.coinlend.org <-- automated lending at various exchanges.
https://www.bitfinex.com <-- Trade BTC for other currencies and vice versa.

I believe I have this in a bit higher res as well...

Also, a third one is in the wild, just not yet funded due to being in transit.

Companies claiming they got hacked and lost your coins sounds like fraud so perfect it could be called fashionable.  I never believe them.  If I ever experience the misfortune of a real intrusion, I declare I have been honest about the way I have managed the keys in Casascius Coins.  I maintain no ability to recover or reproduce the keys, not even under limitless duress or total intrusion.  Remember that trusting strangers with your coins without any recourse is, as a matter of principle, not a best practice.  Don't keep coins online. Use paper or hardware wallets instead.

How many did you make?

Thanks.

They get minted in small batches so I don't have to store them.  The mint is local, so a 3 business day lead time is enough time to make sure I can get a coin in after an order is placed.

That might also raise a question about how I price it. I am locked in on the gold price for about 50 coins, hence why I have a reserve price: it wouldn't make sense to go pick up a coin to sell it at a loss when I believe that holding the gold is a good investment.

What does the binary inscription on the gold coin say?

25btc=you asked for change, we gave you coins
10btc silver =bitcoin, an idea too big too fail

(or something like that)

I've got 12 series 1 1BTC coins, 2 series 2 1BTC, and one each of the 5, 25, and 10 BTC coins. Oh, and a bearer bar. They look cool with my bitbill set. We shall see if the lovebitcoins.org cards look good in the mix shortly.

Hardforks aren't that hard. It’s getting others to use them that's hard.

That charity is so much fun  Grin. I think they are actually developing the technologies to create an arch for the human race to leave the Earth. The are for example researching asteroid shields and Nanoshields (apparently to target microscopic ecophagic replicators whatever they are).

Maybe I should donate to the charity as well, it's like reading a science fiction novel Cheesy
