Display of Trust scores vary from subforum to subforum (ie. it's displayed for China, but not for Indonesia). IMHO it's sorely missing from the Newbies/Beginners section where the most susceptible members are likely to be taken advantage of. Can we just display Trust scores across the board?

I agree I think it should just be displayed the same across every board.

I agree they should be site-wide, or at least displayed in Beginners & Help. The trust often gives a good indication as to whether someone should be taken seriously or not so it can even be helpful in Off-topic with trolls or scammers-troll hybrids etc  Cheesy.

I actually disagree. Trust score should only be displayed when relevant, such as any subforum that involves transaction (marketplace) and beginner area where newbs take advantage of newbs. However any subforum that is mainly discussion should not display trust score because that will make people biased, even if it's subconscious. Posts from people in red will carry less weight than the ones in green, which is a bit unfair for these guys, when someone's trust should not be relevant when it comes to a general discussion.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not in support of scammers, but some people are red because only because they had an argument with someone else, not because they actually screwed someone over.

There is no need to see Trust ratings except Marketplace boards. I agree with haploid23's post.

Trust should only be displayed when in marketplace or trading related sections. Otherwise, people might not take someone seriously because of their trust rating, when in fact their statement was 100% truthful or accurate. It happens because people are irrational. When in fact the majority of the cases I see is people get bombed by users on DefaultTrust just because they disagree with something. It's because of this I have no one on my trust list anymore.

This is a good point. There are certain sub-boards where Trust is not really needed, and others where it is needed but not currently displayed. At the very least though, I think the Trust display/no-display settings need to be recalibrated.

Marketplace, begginers and help and all local boards.

Because there is no newbie section in the locals, and sometimes the trades are out of the trades section.

That's not true. Did you even check Local boards? Most of them have separate sub-forums, both Marketplace and Beginners.

In my opinion, it would be best if it was displayed everywhere, with an option to toggle.

Newbies would always know about trust rating and more experienced users would be able to toggle the settings as they please.

No longer active on bitcointalk, however, you can still reach me via PMs if needed.
