Judging by the prices on these forums, this is a pretty good deal. Enjoy!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Prices are usually high on this site.

I buy and sell GPUs, most 5850s and 7970s.

I'm getting that impression... it seems like BTC users are willing to pay a ~10%? premium to conduct business in BTC.

this site meaning newegg or bitcointalk?

Anyways this isnt some sale. It was an announced price slash on amd's part to complete with nvidia 680. The price should be going down EVERYWHERE.
