Huh, it really seems legit. This is incredible. And yet everyone's puzzled. Another dropping Monday and pow, freaking PayPal includes freaking Bitcoin. I'm puzzled to say the least. This is great, but... wow... Really?

...psss also Ebay.

Yeah, eBay is another big factor, this is effectively incredible! But there are some questions remaining: Do merchants have to opt-in? Will they get the BTC or are those being converted to FIAT? What about price swings,....

I should have gotten into Bitcoin back in 1992...

Well, I'd be careful... I wouldn't say he's an idiot or anything. He makes a pretty strong case, in my opinion. We don't freaking know, whether Bitcoin will be easy enough to use or whether people actually want to use it! I think it's safest to hedge according to your own level of willingness to risk losing your money.

Seems like this is paypal attempting to either

a) Get into the lucrative bitcoin market

OR

b) Stay relevant by incorporating bitcoin. it's probably true that bitcoin would render paypal useless, so incorporating bitcoin paypal could be a last ditch effort to remain relevant going forward  into the next 10 years.

My negative trust rating is reflective of a personal vendetta by someone on default trust.

I stick by calling him an idiot. He claims he invested in Nov 2013, he has lost nothing at this point until he sells his position, so he purchased near the high and is now going to sell what I think is near the low, he is an idiot.
He claims no one cares about Bitcoin, how much VC money has entered the market in the last 12 months? still think no one cares?
It was hard to find places to spend Bitcoin 12 months ago, now you can pretty much use it for any type of product.

Most people who invest purely out of greed get scared at the bottom and come up with excuses to sell, it's normal human reaction, not idiocy.

PS though yeah, he's still a dumbass Smiley He should be buying *now*.

PayPal CEO on in less than 5 minutes: http://www.ustream.tv/TechCrunch

No, it's the Braintree CEO.  Braintree is a subset of Paypal, and are the ones looking to do the integration.  Word is initial testing on Braintree clients (including Uber), but not Paypal proper (yet) - including not Ebay.

Thanks, corrected. TC has him listed as Bill Ready (Braintree/Paypal), so that's the cause of my confusion.
