okay so we made the slots to fit in the site now how to we activate ad's showing up on the site?

Ads will appear automatically when their code will sense new pageviews of your site containing their ad code.

Anyone know just how long it takes? Cause my clients site has had way more then 10k hits with these on them and nothing has showed up.

What kind of ads are you using? Some from adsense will not immediately appear.
