Even when satashi left the forum the coins that he had mined were worth a good chunk of change, at least several thousand dollars. For this reason, I highly doubt that he would have lost his wallet.

He would also actually more likely use his PGP key to verify his identity, which also (IMO) has a low chance of being lost by satashi

He hasn't come forward before, why would he now? Money obviously isn't a thing for him or he probably would have dumped his coins when they were 1k each. If he did want to come out into the spotlight then he would have so much media attention that he wouldn't be able to live a normal life. You never know, he may be a 30 year old genius living a normal life with a family and two kids in the suburbs .

In fact, I think that he likes anonymity and privacy and don't want too much publicity and media pressure.
He probably have normal life, so why to change this and lose peace and jeopardized own safety and family.

If such a person comes forward, though unlikely at this point, he would need to sign a message with his keys. This is what is so good about Bitcoin, and why no fake Satoshi has come forward, because he doesn't own the private keys to Satoshi's stash(although a close friend of his could potentially....)
