I have had occasional contact with Somekindabitcoin.

Both he and his project are still alive, although did suffer a setback running into patents held by CloudFlare.

AFAIK DosCoin will have an exchange rate for Blockade, which will be a suite of software and part of a trio of coins to be known as Tri-coin. This may not be strictly correct but is the gist of the casual contacts over the past couple of weeks.

Now, before everyone asks:

• No, I really don't know more than that.
• Yes, our encounters have led me to believe the project is still on track and under active development.
• Yes, I still HODL DosCoin in the expectation of being able to exchange it at some ratio of DOS:CADE at some future date.
• No, I can not say when that might be. I'm sure we'll all find out when he's got definitive information to share.
• Yes, I'm still staking my coins, as are at least 3 other people as I have 3 active network connections.
• Finally, no, besides hodling DosCoin I have no connection with the project in any way, shape or form, I'm merely sharing what I have found in conversation.

I am actually currently working on this, but very slowly. Right now, i'm only in the testing stages. Slowly, I will gather some funds through mini IPO series. Instead of straight up coins, I will give it in tokens redeemable for a certain amount of coins. These won't be activated till the final stage.

This will be a novelty in altcoins, people waiting 6 months This is a strange ecosystem where tomorrow is the distant future and next week unimaginably far away

May I recommend hodlers keep staking their DosCoin, both to keep the blockchain alive and to profit from the interest paid.

If nothing else this is going to be an interesting experiment to see if crypto currency speculators are capable of long-term investment. DosCoin launched when, August? Pre-ANN was in July IIRC. Will DosCoin holders wait until April/May for a payoff or will they feed the patient profiteers offering a miserable 1 satoshi on C-CEX?

C-CEX has stated they need the server space and consequently are removing a bunch of coins from their trading list.

Sadly DosCoin is one of these coins.

Now, we know the pain of owners losing a public trading platform for a faithful coin.

It seems so tragic for a coin that shone too briefly and you feel almost treacherous closing a wallet that has served so long in the dimly-lit further reaches of a small exchange.

Well cheer up!
