I need a new power supply...

Not sure if this is the correct place, I got a 30ghs butterfly labs ,2nd hand on ebay about 4 months ago, and the power supply has died on it the fan, was noise to start with and i though the bearings where on the way out, but now the psu just makes a clicking noise and the light turns on and off.

Was just wondering if any one knew where i could get a spare power supply from in the UK if possible?

There's also a mining section that might be able to help. Are you sure it's definitely the power supply?

I agree the computer hardware section here could be an ideal place to start if you are looking for a new power supply. Are you sure it definitely could be the power supply and not something else that may be affecting it? Getting another power supply may help in eliminating the problem though.

I gotta say, don't put a lot of money in that gear anymore. A 30 GH/s BFL miner doesn't get you a lot of Bitcoins these days. The difficulty became too high! Also, the power efficiency of that device is abysmal compared to current hardware.

How many BTC does that miner give you in a week? I don't think it's worth the hassle of repairing it. It uses simply too much W/GH/s... If you want to stay in the mining game you should get yourself some recent mining hardware :/

I don't pay for power so I don't really care about energy use, and I am not looking to get into this full time or spend any more cash, as tbh, at this point I don't think there is any point me buying any more hard ware unless i am willing to spend thousands and i am not, I am only doing it for fun, its def the power supply, it just keeps turning on and off it has a power light and it is making a clicking sound, It may not even bee the power supply but he fan in it. i think it prob has some sort of safety device to turn it off it the fan wont start.
