I just ordered three more routers and enough parts for five more battery power supplies.

These should be ready to go next week. Two of them will be extras in stock.

If using six or more AA batteries in conjunction with the regulator, I recommend purchasing a TO-220 heatsink for it.

I will be ordering ten of these but they won't arrive for a few weeks.

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Is there anyone with one of these set up that has a Watt meter, or one of those wall wattmeters they can plug it into while pulling a file from it...  Would love to know the typical draw..

I know the wall adapter is 1 amp, but im curious about the draw so I can find a suitable solar solution..

Thanks! Smiley

I was asked how the cost adds up to 19btc today, and here's the answer:

http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-Portable-802-11n-Wireless-TL-MR3020/dp/B006DEBXD0 - Router - $40
http://www.amazon.com/7805-5V-Voltage-Regulator-TO-220/dp/B0002ZPXJ6/ - vReg - $5
http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Cruzer-Fit-Flash-Drive/dp/B005FYNSZA/ - 16gb drive - $14
http://www.amazon.com/Parts-Express-9V-Battery-Clip/dp/B0002ZPFU8 - Battery clip - $3
http://www.amazon.com/Battery-Holder-Standard-Snap-Connector/dp/B000LFRTIK/ - Battery holder - $8
Total $70 / 5.10 = 14btc + 4btc build fee + 1btc shipping = 19btc

Hopefully 19 sounds more appealing now!

If you compare it to anyone else offering pre-setup pirate boxes, its slightly cheaper with you..

Shipping from UK is a bit nuts price wise from your competitor..

Is there enough demand for a bulk order?

$32 to this to Australia. Or, if I ship to one of you then you forward it to the other, it will cost me $36.20 which you can split.

Only legal implications are, if you choose to put pirated or copywritten stuff on it.

If you dont, its perfectly legal.

If you do... who the hell is going to catch you ?   specially if its outta site and not on a table in front of you.

My Pirate box came today. I will try to find time to work on it this weekend. The next step it to ssh into the box and begin modding. This guide is what I am going to use.
http://piratebox.aod-rpg.de/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=modification_list

It did not come with a battery pack, not sure why? A trip to Radio Shack should solve that. Here is what it looks like.

Sorry I forgot to include that. Throw me an address and I'll compensate you for that part + gas + time.

I hope you enjoy it! Your mods should be cool as well.
