And if it is not him?  Where is the chain of evidence?

I cannot see this ending well.

Yeah... and if there was any sort of evidence someone would have claimed the 37.6 BTC bounty already.

If I went around saying I was tilray and sent out a few emails saying at I (as tilray) was the supposed hacker we would now have the same amount of evidence that YOU hacked Satochi's email.

one of the links the op posted says that the character known as steven is a sociopath looking for attention.. its more likely that the sociopath is PRETENDING that he hacked the satoshi account, purely to give himself street cred when infact it was someone else that hacked it.

after all i have today seen a few different pastebins all with the same 'evidence' yet a different blackmail deposit address. so no-one really knows who hacked the satoshi account.

im even thinking the OP is steven trying to advertise his own name and spoon feed people with these links just to make himself look good.

either way, im bored and moving on

I highly, HIGHLY, doubt this. This is beginning to look like a Leah job, with the same disregard to the affects of putting up pictures and information.

So this "hacker" uses AIM, has internet explorer on his bar for quick access, uses a third party client called swiftkit for the semi-popular online MMORPG called RuneScape, has a free mouse macro program that records and replays mouse movement and... to top it all off, appears to be using an Alienware computer paying out the butt for performance when he could simply build?

Sorry, none of this adds up to even the lowest hacker, and this personal information should not be posted at all.

This could end really bad if this is not the person that did it. Someone who claims to have hacked Satoshi is not going show the whole world who they are they will want to stay anonymous.

judging by the wired article and the usernames involved this is the guy and it is obvious he has been doing this shit for a while now judging by the dates on the pastebin links I posted in the OP

If that person wants to be anonymous, the best thing he/she can do is don't waste their time hacking the Satoshi's account.
If you do it you know that people (BTC community) is going to investigate you... so be cautious or now you can't do anything.

People have to be responsible of what they do, as easy as that  Wink

Anyway: we don't know who is the hacker and maybe we're not going to know it certainly at 100%, never.

What are the proofs he's really the hacker? He's a high school teen, maybe he said he hacked satoshi mail only to looks important, and people bought the idea.

And how he did it? (most important question in my opinion)
How can a teen scrypt hacker manage to get acces to Satoshi's mail? I guess he is not the first one to try, if he really made it.

Doxxing an underager is brilliant, if you want to end up in prison too.

if it's a minor, the WORST thing the bitcoin community can do is continue this.

The headlines "Satoshi's email hacked, bitcoin community puts hit on 14 year old who did it"

No thanks
