Cynical as it may sound it is actually good that these forums are packed with pro and wannabe scammers as it gives honest traders an edge. What is really sad is to see that some people need to get burned to understand that it is not gold everything that shines.

Not always. It can be recovered in cases of fraud or from a like complaint if a CC was used. Happens all the time.

When the subject of buying BTC with Paypal comes up, I often remember this:
