This is an interesting statement:

None have shipped so far they claim that the reason they have shipped so few of the single units over the last couple of weeks is to work on getting these out the door plus they supposedly have big ASIC announcement due on the 15th of June that makes these machines obsolete.

Dillgaf, nobody ever said such a thing.  Quite the opposite, actually.  We have two distinctly separate production lines.  The singles are shipping in volume again and have been for some time.
So, most buyers of these things are not participants of this thread?

What does "volume" mean?
It means that as much as everyone here would like for the world to revolve around the forum, it actually doesn't.

Mining Rig Extraordinaire - the Trenton BPX6806 18-slot PCIe backplane [PICS] Dead project is dead, all hail the coming of the mighty ASIC!

It means that as much as everyone here would like for the world to revolve around the forum, it actually doesn't.

Still if the list is a semi-random subset of all orders going from a period of high delivery to roughly 2.5 weeks with 0 deliveries would indicate they aren't shipping in volume.  One or two days could just be sampling error but the odds that BFL shipped out hundred and hundreds of units over the last 3 weeks and it just happened that nobody on the list was one of them is well ... unlikely.

Even if it is true it would indicate the perceived improvement to delivery times was just an illusion and in fact delivery times haven't improved much at all.

Assumptions:
1) Bitcoin Miners are not Gaussian distributions of all Internet population
2) Bitcoin Miners do their research and land on the best source of information for their interest
3) Here it is as far as the best source of community info. (Have you found a better source of info? - Link please.)

Known:
1) BFL is a bit 'loose' with accuracy of statements/predictions
2) rate of shipments/deliveries as reported on this thread

Result:
BFL's word/statements ain't worth s**t.

Please counter with facts, not emotions / flames.

Contemplating cancelling my orders (they are well beyond 6 weeks now)....the possibility of ASIC being released soon is scaring me.

You shouldn't cancel. You should sell your place in line.

How do those work? Does bfl just ship to the new address?

Y'know, I don't mind the long lead time so much, I understand how easy it is to get behind on orders when your product is more successful than you expected. What annoys me is the lack of transparency - update your web site to reflect real ship times instead of continuing to promise 4-6 weeks, y'know?

My wife, on the other hand, isn't quite as understanding as I am about the lead time Grin

Wondering how that is going to effect things actually.

77 and 78 days respectively. ouch. atleast they are now good for $6 grand worth of asics eventually. ;p

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

don't forget to calculate increasing difficulty into your figures. Its due to go up 100k just this next time. But, on the plus side the price has been increasing lately. ;p

As I found out no.  They won't.  Still if someone trusts you (or trusts escrow) then can pay for your spot, BFL ships, you ship to them.

That is how I auctioned my spot.  Of course I figured it would have shipped two weeks ago.  Roughly 100+ units on the list went out of the course of 2 weeks.  Then when I am <10 units from the top of the list.  Nothing.  The guy who bought my spot is kinda pissed but has been pretty understanding about it all.

If you auction them make sure you make it clear that there is no way to know/guarantee when the units will actually ship.

Wait WTF?
How did a unit ordered on 4/24 already ship when there are about 80+ units ahead of it in line which haven't?  Hell there are units from March which haven't shipped yet.
