A very low inflationary PoS crypto-currency which is entirely backed with Investment account and tied to FIAT money.
A coin which is sold and bought on demand and supply, - and acts like a share of the portfolio.

Is there any of those out there yet?

Maybe Ven, but I don't think it's PoS.

Take a look at BTSX and BITusd. The closest thing to fiat money on a blockchain.

All DACs based on the BitShares toolkit are secured by DPOS: http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/DPOS

DPOS whitepaper: http://v3.bitshares.org/security/delegated-proof-of-stake.php

BitSharesX is a decentralized bank and exchange DAC; recently the BitsharesX market launched, which is the first decentralized exchange to implement market assets that are pegged to the value of real world commodities such as the USD, GLD, SLV, etc. bitUSD is the first of these assets that started trading.

Bitshares and its derivatives are not exactly backed by FIAT or anything else. They are still speculation based, much like bitcoin.

Actually no. Cryptocurrency like this acts like a share for its backed value. It would not pretend to be a payment instrument, but rather like an easy access investment instrument.

BitUSD is on the same chain, so yes. Check out the links to the wiki and the whitepaper in my first post.   Grin
