Are there going to be any pools for launch and when exactly is launch.

Added a couple of Scrypt and SHA pools. Bounties available for any operator wishing to setup a pool for Skein, Groestl and Qubit. 1000XeC for the first 2 pools for each of the remaining algorithms.

Launch is 2 Hours from now.

The genesis block has been reset and Windows QT will be available in the form of a password protected zip file 30 minutes prior to launch. I've revised the Premine and its now 50,000 down from 500,000.

Still looking for some more translations with a bounty of 500XeC.
I've been PM'd by a user looking to make an Android wallet and he claims it should be ready in a couple of days.

Pitty of the huge premine,  Huh

Lol I dont understand whats going on here. 2 Posts above you dev claims to have reduced premine to 50k which is 0.05% thats sweet fuck all compared to alot of coins. Hopefully the dev makes the premine address public early on.

The premine is not "Huge". Following the coins specs we get the following

20 (block reward) * 2880 (blocks per day if same specs as myr) = 57600
So a premine of 50000 is under a days worth of blocks. If dev is giving out 2 * 1000 bounties per algo per pool thats 20% from that premine gone already just for the pool owners. I would suggest even lowering that bounty by half per pool.

Since the dev posted he was taking 50,000 coins for his premine in his OP I won't be posting on this thread trying to warn people.  Anyone who mines this I wish you luck.  Personal I don't think it will cover the electricity cost so passing on this one.

I've contacted the pool owners letting them know of the launch and hopefully they will be around to get those pools up! Worst case scenario is that we host a Groestl and SHA pool with no fee's ourselves.

I do have one question is it 30 second block timers?  I see people talking about 2880 blocks a day that would mean it is 30 seconds per.  Is that true dev?

I'll quote the following as it does a good job of explaining in simple terms what's going on behind the scenes in regards to block generation

Quote
The five algorithms include SHA256D used by Bitcoin, Scrypt used by Litecoin (and the majority of altcoins) as well as Skein and Groestl which are generally GPU mined and Qubit designed for CPU mining. Here is an explanation of how it all works taken from the announcement thread:

Each proof of work algorithm has its own independent difficulty.
Any algorithm can find the next block.
All the algorithms use the same difficulty adjustment method.
On average, each algorithm has the same chance of finding the next block.
Each algorithm aims for a block generation time of 2.5 minutes.
Over the five algorithms, a block should be found on average every 30 seconds.

The multi algorithm approach taken by the Myriadcoin team helps to encourage even distribution. For example imagine four miners. Two with $10,000 scrypt ASICs and two with GPUs mining using the skein algorithm. The GPU miners will solve as many blocks as the Scrypt ASICs since each algorithm has the same chance of solving the next block.

So yes it *should* even out to about 30 second block times or 2880 blocks per day if we get miners on all 5 algorithms.

Nothing wrong, i suppose switching is like DGB where all this clone come from:

MultiAlgo Options

Once multi-algo mining kicks in you need one of these settings in your .conf to solo mine whichever algo you choose:
Code:
Quote
algo=scrypt
algo=sha256d
algo=groestl
algo=qubit
algo=skein

RPCPort: 16669
P2Port: 16668

You edit xenoncoin.conf adding the line:
"algo=sha256d"

You can change algorithm by swapping out sha256d for one of the following:
sha256d
scrypt
skein
groestl
qubit

LOL so you had your calculations off and you go around trolling the dev because you didn't understand block times. I could understand 50k still being quite large if it were only 576 blocks per day but atleast get your maths right before you go around trolling.

Umm no?  I asked if it was 30 second block timers.  I didn't make any kind of calculation on the premine VS. the # of days of mining.

How about you admit your a cocksucker who tries to put words in other people's mouth.  I asked a guy a question.  It wasn't in his OP.  It is a normal question.  I made no claim that the block timers were longer then 30 seconds.  I made no claims about if the block timers are X then the premine = X amount of days mining.  So why don't you fuck off kk ty.

Why dont you fuck off you trolly little fuck. You made claims about how "Huge" the premine was not even realizing it was 30 second blocks. You then verbally abused OP who wanted to simply have a discussion about the subject. kkty Smiley

Last I'll mention about the subject anyway.

Ran a virustotal scan on the file OP posted and it looks clean.
