We are releasing XenonCoin as a Proof of Work only coin in the hopes of building a secure blockchain and giving something back to the miners who have invested big money in rigs only to see it all go to waste on PoS coins. Xenoncoin follows Myriad's implementation of Multi-PoW and we hope to work closely with not just the community but other Developers looking to make advancements with Multi-PoW coins.  We do have further annoucements to make regarding ongoing development support and we will be looking to test some new features shortly after launch.

Your full of shit man.  PoS or PoW is of no matter.  your taking a 500000 coin premine when the block reward is 20 per.  This is an abortioncoin. It died already.  Your best course of action is to delete this thread and come up with realistic specs.

It isn't input.  It is fair warning for people to stay away from your shitcoin.  We don't need devs holding 25000 blocks of premine over a coin market.  No one will place reasonable buy orders so miners can cover there electrical costs plus make even 1% profit.  If people mine this they will likely lose money to electrical cost.  You shitbag devs with huge premines like this need to stop.  Make reasonable specs.

+1.

Drop the premine and take it gradually from the blocks mined since it's a very long duration POW coin.

I general do not agree with racer much but he brings up a valid point.  Do a foundation wallet and take .5% of each block if you want to do 100 year PoW only coins. Stop trying to scam people with your long PoW plus 25000 block (500,000) coin premine shit.

OP, if you really want this to work not just want to scam by dumping your 14 days worth of premine, hold on with the launch and setup a system where you take 0.5% of every block mined automatically like some coins did it (eg. AidBit). That way you'll have your 0.5% premine when the last PoW block been mined which should motivate you not to abandon the project and help us trust you and your coin. Otherwise it's never going to fly with premine.

Edit: hellracer2011 beat me to it.

Considered doing this but the reality is that in order to properly promote a coin and pay for new features a premine is needed. How much of the current premine do you think we could dump before killing the market? The idea is to do large giveaways in order to kickstart the blockchain and distrubute XeC in a reasonable manner.

Option A you rethink your position and make a change.  Option B we all stomp your shitcoin to death and it never sees a real market. The day a coin like this makes it is the day miners are fucked.  We can't have dev's making coins that leave zero profit and only loses for those who mine them.

Huge premines are like a boot on the market's throat.  They leave no room for the market to grow.  The threat of that premine being dumped is enough that people won't lay out buy orders. It doesn't matter how honest you claim to be.

Yay he is willing to lower is 25000 block premine to 12500 blocks.  Like I said your coin is DoA. No one places buy orders that are reasonable to the cost of mining when a 12500 block premine hangs over the market.

BTW I didn't threaten your coin.  Anyone who knows me knows I don't make threats only promises.

THE PREMINE SCAMS DONE WORK ANYMORE YOU STUPID SON OF A BITCH

Well that's handy because we won't be scamming anyone and if scamming was the plan it would be done more elaborately than creating coin specs where I couldn't possibly dump any significant amount of premine before collapsing the market.

Anyway Gonna delay the Launch 24 Hours and make some changes. Obviously not everyone's going to be happy but we maybe able to come to a happy medium. Launch will be Tomorrow 10PM UTC.

Is that supposed to be an argument defending the premine?

What's your stance on taking the premine gradually from every block as they get mined as hellracer recommended?

Do a 2000 coin premine followed by 1% of each block going to a foundation wallet.  This will allow you to pay the upfront bounties without having a huge premine hanging over/suppressing the price of the coin on the market.  We haven't seen a dev try doing both a small premine plus foundation yet.  It could be the answer to longer PoW coins.

I understand the coin specs make it difficult to have a premine that looks reasonable. The coin was originally going to have no premine but the reality of the situation is that I've already recieved a full page of PM's of users offering services for bounties, something thats just not possible without a premine.

Like I said we are happy to look at the premine and adjust it but we certainly will not be threatend or bullied so I suggest you guys calm down and talk to me rationally. We can indeed go the charity foundation route but I still feel we would need a premine of 20-30k for initial promotion (maybe then taking 0.1% of each block).

I'd like to be able to give bounties to users who spam and annoy bittrex/poloniex via twitter/irc. Also had a few competitions in mind that will require XeC

As far as being a MYR clone. Indeed we are based on MYR which isn't a bad thing at all. We would love to merge mine with them later on down the road. As far as Multi-PoW implementations go we felt the Myriad code base had the time and experience behind it that would help secure our own blockchain. We will be moving forward with our own advancements rather than following in their footsteps.

It doesn't matter if you need it for bounties or for blow the thing is we don't trust you with it or any other anon dev and for very good reasons. If you believe in your coin you should invest in it by paying for the bounties (0.0x BTC). Besides, you can take more from every block people still choose that over any amount of premine. Go 1% of every block, nobody will really care as you won't have the ability to crush the market and slap investors in the face. On the other hand if you're really making something great you'll get a nice payment along the way.

If you don't trust your own coin as much to invest a bit then you're just wasting everybody's time, including yours.

Thanks for this suggestion.  I refuse. Now what?  Will you be calling my mommy and telling on me? You can take a huge 1500 block premine if you wish.  If you do I will make sure everyone knows you have it hanging over the market.  You act like I owe you some measure of respect.  I don't because your a brand new account who hasn't given me a reason to show you any respect.  You have only given me reasons to heckle you.  Mainly your huge premine.

Go 1% of every block, nobody will really care as you won't have the ability to crush the market and slap investors in the face. On the other hand if you're really making something great you'll get a nice payment along the way.

If you don't trust your own coin as much to invest a bit then you're just wasting everybody's time, including yours.

Yup. 100% agree.Surely a good dev requires good remuneration then take it from the blocks mined,but initial capital expenditure should be done from the dev's own pocket not from the miners just like a business.

It isn't input.  It is fair warning for people to stay away from your shitcoin.  We don't need devs holding 25000 blocks of premine over a coin market.  No one will place reasonable buy orders so miners can cover there electrical costs plus make even 1% profit.  You shitbag devs with huge premines like this need to stop.  Make reasonable specs.

+1.

Drop the premine and take it gradually from the blocks mined since it's a very long duration POW coin.

Considered doing this but the reality is that in order to properly promote a coin and pay for new features a premine is needed. How much of the current premine do you think we could dump before killing the market? The idea is to do large giveaways in order to kickstart the blockchain and distrubute XeC in a reasonable manner.

What promotion? It is all about you dumping your 14 days worth of premine and rinse and repeat.

Mainly your huge premine.

a 1500 block premine is literally nothing. Slightly over 50% of ONE DAYS total blocks (2880 per day).

Yeah...I've been planning this coin for a month just so that I can instantly dump my '14 days worth of premine' for 1btc (If the market even supported that sort of buy volume at launch which it wont).

Ya always know when Carsen is around, the place smells like shit, the cats been raped, and ya got a bunch of stupid motherfuckers that just lost all their lunch money wondering what the fuck just happend.

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

Added a couple of Scrypt and SHA pools. Bounties available for any operator wishing to setup a pool for Skein, Groestl and Qubit. 1000XeC for the first 2 pools for each of the remaining algorithms.

Launch is 2 Hours from now.

The genesis block has been reset and Windows QT will be available in the form of a password protected zip file 30 minutes prior to launch. I've revised the Premine and its now 50,000 down from 500,000.

Still looking for some more translations with a bounty of 500XeC.
I've been PM'd by a user looking to make an Android wallet and he claims it should be ready in a couple of days.

Pitty of the huge premine,  Huh

Lol I dont understand whats going on here. 2 Posts above you dev claims to have reduced premine to 50k which is 0.05% thats sweet fuck all compared to alot of coins. Hopefully the dev makes the premine address public early on.

The premine is not "Huge". Following the coins specs we get the following

20 (block reward) * 2880 (blocks per day if same specs as myr) = 57600
So a premine of 50000 is under a days worth of blocks. If dev is giving out 2 * 1000 bounties per algo per pool thats 20% from that premine gone already just for the pool owners. I would suggest even lowering that bounty by half per pool.

I'll quote the following as it does a good job of explaining in simple terms what's going on behind the scenes in regards to block generation

Quote
The five algorithms include SHA256D used by Bitcoin, Scrypt used by Litecoin (and the majority of altcoins) as well as Skein and Groestl which are generally GPU mined and Qubit designed for CPU mining. Here is an explanation of how it all works taken from the announcement thread:

Each proof of work algorithm has its own independent difficulty.
Any algorithm can find the next block.
All the algorithms use the same difficulty adjustment method.
On average, each algorithm has the same chance of finding the next block.
Each algorithm aims for a block generation time of 2.5 minutes.
Over the five algorithms, a block should be found on average every 30 seconds.

The multi algorithm approach taken by the Myriadcoin team helps to encourage even distribution. For example imagine four miners. Two with $10,000 scrypt ASICs and two with GPUs mining using the skein algorithm. The GPU miners will solve as many blocks as the Scrypt ASICs since each algorithm has the same chance of solving the next block.

So yes it *should* even out to about 30 second block times or 2880 blocks per day if we get miners on all 5 algorithms.

Nothing wrong, i suppose switching is like DGB where all this clone come from:
Quote
MultiAlgo Options

Once multi-algo mining kicks in you need one of these settings in your .conf to solo mine whichever algo you choose:
Code:
Quote
algo=scrypt
algo=sha256d
algo=groestl
algo=qubit
algo=skein

RPCPort: 16669
P2Port: 16668

You edit xenoncoin.conf adding the line:
"algo=sha256d"

You can change algorithm by swapping out sha256d for one of the following:
sha256d
scrypt
skein
groestl
qubit

Will using algo=groestl work? Or does it have to be algo=myriadcoin-groestl?

You will notice when he was talking about a 500k and then a 250k premine I said it was huge.  I stopped when changed it to a more reasonable number.  You say I am trolling, I say your sucking cock.  I guess were even.

we need to synchronize 50000/20=2500 blocks in order to start mining, however difficulty is rising on Groest and Scrypt

maybe you have not check the whole ann - there is 50k coins premined which are 2500 block equivalent so now only person who can mine is the one with synchronized wallet - dev. No one else, i'm on 900 block, still waiting...

That happens to ALL multi algo coins. Since each algo has it's own difficulty.

no, again you are under wrong impressions, premine was not done in one genesis block but in all these 2500 blocks we are all synchronizing now, but yes someone is mining now, the so called instamine and I hope that person giveaway those coins or we will sink the ship to thA ground !

It's more like at least 5 different people were insta-mining it since all five algos were going up in difficulty

You should have the block chain load on a RAM drive and you would not need to wait so long for the block chain to download/process.

i dont talk about the 50 k pre i talk about the 900 blocks instamine in 15mins 50k+18k Smiley

That happens to ALL multi algo coins. Since each algo has it's own difficulty.

900 blocks in 15 minutes? WTF, what is the block time?

If you're in the U.S. or Canada HashHot is actually closer. Do the ping test:

bring up a command window (Start - type cmd)

ping these or any server you're planning to mine @. Under 50 is good, but 30 would be ideal.

ping stratum.new.hashhot.com  - I get average 78ms

ping gcpool.ddns.net   - I get average 126ms here but this is where everyone is mining  Undecided

We look at the difficulty of mining machine display, and BTC or LTC is not difficult, as does the ability to dig up and took us count BTC and LTC go, please check to make sure!

Kind of a incomplete sentence so I am not sure what you are asking but it sounds like you are saying that difficulty doesn't match coin output? If so that is the same thought I had as I would of expected a higher/faster coin gen with what is being thrown at it right now.

50k is not a large premine! .05% come on. If you want any future development the dev has to get something. I believe he gave out bounties  of 1000 each to the pools already. Has someone signed up to do a android wallet (for bounty) plus we need a explorer and exchange bounties. The premine will not go far.

Hi dev, there are concerns raised about the premine.  A block explorer would be a good start.  thanks, it appears to be a sincere project but lets see.

i was calling out the dev for being a asshole scammer from day one
at this point in time i think every launch has to have POD
otherwise you can 4get mining it

+1 .. thats why i'm not adding pools for such coins anymore.. you have more work shutting them down then anything else Wink

Nothing visible. He released the protected wallet 15 minutes before launch and the password on time. The first 1000 Blocks were mined in minutes, till difficulty adjustment regulated it. But this
was also normal for a multi-algo-coin which has no zero coins during the first blocks.

Really would like to know what happend, too.

As above, all seemed to go well with launch, nothing unexpected. Good post, website, some plans. I hope the dev didn't get hit by a meteor or something. Shame, either way.
