Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

New roaster means new inventory!

Local roaster means fresher coffee!

Professional roaster means wider selection!

Only 24 hours in a day means I haven't gotten around to adding everything to the site yet, but I will.

Still around.

Since so many people have been asking where BitBrew ships from and how fresh the beans are, I've added an About Page to the site. Here it is:

Quote
BitBrew was launched in May 2011 with the lofty goal of providing high quality coffee exclusively in exchange for bitcoins in order to do its share of sustaining a viable economy with the controversial crypto-currency. As of yet, BitBrew is run solely by one individual (me) known as “edd” at the Bitcoin.org forums and elsewhere. Located in San Antonio, Texas, BitBrew gets its coffee from a local roaster and ships anywhere within the contiguous 48 United States at no additional charge. Beans are usually roasted on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays and shipped out the next day, with delivery time varying according to the distance your order must travel.

For example, Ian's order was placed on Thursday, so his beans will be roasted on Monday and shipped out on Tuesday to ensure the freshest possible product.

Of course, if sales skyrocket, I may be able to persuade my roaster to work everyday.  Wink

Still around.

Due to the recent rise in value of bitcoins, I've reduced prices at BitBrew. I've chosen not to slave prices to whatever the current exchange rate is in order to do my part in stabilizing the economy and so that past customers won't feel like they overpaid simply because they didn't wait one more day before buying. I will, of course, respond to huge fluctuations like this last one.

Don't forget to check out our new coffees!

Still around.

That's pretty awesome. Bitcoins will be much more difficult to stabilize until it's used itself as a currency and not tied to the price of the day against USD/Euro/etc.

Received coffee from edd today. Swiss Chocolate Almond is absurdly aromatic. The ones I ordered were shipped in very high-quality bags with an airlock right on them. Coffee tastes excellent.

Wow, got online today to see BTC trading at $17+. Wasn't expecting that so soon.

Prices slashed yet again!

(Won't do it again unless BTC falls below $12 or rises above $20.)

Still around.

Excellent brew with these beans! There is no comparison between Bit-Brew's superior beans and a coffee shop's beans. Though it will take awhile to finish 6 bags of beans, I will be back and hopefully you'll still be roasting.

Thanks to everyone who's purchased coffee from BitBrew so far. This might turn into a profitable venture after all!

The last of this week's beans will begin roasting in about an hour, so anyone who wants to place a last minute order should do it now. Otherwise, you'll have to wait for Monday's batch.

Still around.
