How often does a persons activity get updated? I have had 70 activity for over a week now and I'm on everyday

Activity actually updates every hour, but you can only get 14 points every fortnightly period. Next period starts on Tuesday and you can get another 14 then.

This thread was in off-topic originally and was moved, but still that shouldn't justify its existence  . I'm afraid we're just going to have to live with these activity threads.

I think you get 14 activity every  2 weeks if you post at least one post in those 2 weeks, so in the next period you'll have 84 activity.

You will have to post 14 posts to get 14 activity. Correct me if I am wrong!

You only need to make one post in each fortnightly period and you will either get the full 14 points automatically if your post count is 14 or more higher than your activity or if not you can make the rest of the posts at a later date and collect the full points then.

The next 2 week period will start on Sept 16 09:33:20 GMT, and so you will need to make a post after that moment to increase your activity level.
