Problem is, you can chargeback even gifts payment too, there is way.
That is why people here don't sell Bitcoin with Paypal or sell to very trusted People.

I understand, but if you look at it that way, then what method is considered "safe" then? Hey if someone wants to meet me at starbucks at the corner of 5th and Jackson, I'll bring handcuffs so that we'll be sure that no one rips anybody off. All joking aside, that's about as safe as I believe you could argue for both parties.

Sending as a gift can also be easily reversed. There are many reasons that BTC and Paypal just don't mix.
