Have a moderate collection of Magic The Gathering cards.

Im not a fan myself, and never really have been.  They were given to me with a large lot of sports cards.  The previous owner just stopped using them and wanted to get rid of them.

I know some have value, but im not interested in expanding my collection to include magic cards.  I've got 5 800 count boxes full, plus a 250 count box about half full.  I've got them all separated into sets.  It was the best way I knew to sort them and/or look them up online.

Looking to sell a minimum of a 800 count box at a time, but would definitely rather sell them all at once.  Looking for $100 shipped in the US, for all of 'em ($.02 ea, plus $20 shipping).  Preferred payment method is btc.

Interested in a trade? I just did some spring cleaning and have some sports cards I was considering parting with.

What sets are they from?  Could you take some pics of their condition?

If they are decent, I probably know some people who would take the whole bunch off your hands.

I got a pm to the same effect from someone else.  I may be interested, but I would need to know more about the cards, or at least see some pics.  Some years the production was so high that the cards aren't worth the paper their printed on.

If they are decent, I probably know some people who would take the whole bunch off your hands.

They are all played.  But in very good condition.  There are very few with any creases, or other major issues.  If they were sports cards the majority of them would be near mint.

And there are about 30-35 sets represented.  The oldest is the Third Edition, there are none (at least that could tell) from the Alpha, Beta, or Unlimited sets.

The set with the largest majority was Mercadian Masques (sp?).  There are about 1000 of those.  There were close to 300 from the Fourth Edition, and around 500 from the Fifth Edition.

Thats all I know off the top of my head.  I will try to browse some more info up, I would likely recognize the symbols from some of the larger groups of cards so if I can dig out some more set names Ill post them here.  Otherwise, I'll post back with other major groupings in about 9 hours after I get off work.

Those are older, less desirable sets. I'd be willing to go 10 btc shipped just to stock for online store my kids are starting.

That's cool. I wish you the best. You might consider looking through and picking out the mythic rares and special lands. Those usually hold their value the best and would make the lot more appealing. At minimum a mythic rare count would be more appealing to us.

Yeah, I've considered it already.  But I don't know shit about Magic cards so I would literally have to go through every single one and look it up to determine if it was rare, or mythic rare, or whatever.

I just don't have that kind of time.  As it stands, someone has the potential to get some good cards for a great price.  If I did end up going through all of them, they would be priced a lot closer to actual resale value, so the potential for getting a deal would be less.

As I said, we'll see what happens.  If they don't sell here or locally maybe I'll spend a weekend going through them all...

If it has a reddish orange symbol then its mythic rare. I just turn the cards upside down and look at the edge. Grab out the mythics. Really quick, you don't even have to look at the card, much less look it up. Still, going through that many cards will take a while, but not as long as you thought.

see the symbol on the right, middle of the card? That's the one. Flip all your stack over and just look for the color.

Yeah, Im not that ignorant of magic cards... lol

Actually, I only have a single card from the third edition.  Don't remember what it was as I don't have them with me.  But I can update after lunch.

Nope, not with this lot.  I did somehow, somewhere along the line, come up with a single yu di oh card, but off hand I have no idea what it is.

I will get back to you on that.  I need to decide how I want to sell these.  I've gotten a lot of varying offers, no matter what I can get rid of them all, I just have to decide the best way to do it.  I will get back to you in the next couple hours...
